Does anyone know what data Octopus has access to after I've switched from them?

Still disputing my final bill - photos of my meter reading haven't made them revisit their final, estimated bill for the final day's usage. I've sent that day's usage figure, pasted from Glowmarkt's website & waiting to see if that will help.

I assumed they'd still be able to see my accurate consumption data at their end - am I wrong?
The only data they have access to is data collected before your switch.
What I thought I'd asked was - what data do they have access to before I switched...I'm an idiot, I know they can't access my data post switch.

I assume they still have 30 minute consumption figures & will be able to access them for some time? If they've lost that data, can they access it from anywhere else? (like I can from Glowmarkt/Bright App). Technical issues have been mentioned in a CS email.

They've now agreed my usage is much lower than they'd expected (hurrah!) but still won't issue a new final bill to reflect that lower usage. Not a hurrah.
They don't get rid of the data they've already collected. I can still see my historic data in the app.
They won't have data for your last day of supply because they would have lost connection before the end of that day and they only pull data once per day (for the previous day). These aren't technical issues, they are systemic issues across the industry and are by design.
I expect Octopus will end up accepting your reading as they have done for others, as a gesture of good will.

Anyone know how much SEG they pay and works with them?
I've been with them for 3 months now. They set up my export on the same tariff as the import, and I've queried if a couple of times and it's just silence. I'm assuming they just don't do export tariffs. So I've had to decide if I can self consume enough solar in the summer to offset this.

Otherwise I'm thinking of moving to EON Next Drive, or back to Octopus.

Posted yesterday "The readings on the mywatts I think are just validated readings, whats used for the bill is consumption measurements, I think you can download the CSV for the bill from the mywatts page"

Ideally you need proof of reading new supplier opened with, I attached Scottish Power first statement showing lower opening gas read than Octopus closing estimated reading, in fact it showed a later S/M reading lower than Octopus closed with.

Any gaps this month? It looks like they've got all Feb data for me, but my bill hasn't arrived yet. I'm expecting it to be just under £52 (vs £93 for Agile or £100 for Tracker). Another £41 saved. My usage should come down a lot over the next couple of months as it begins to warm up.

No gaps and exactly what I was expecting. I moved from Agile and estimate savings of 10pkwh+ over Agile, Tracker or SVT equating to £70+ and no problems so far.

Hi all, I should have switched to Tomato from Octopus on the 19th and nothing happened. Got in touch with both them and old supplier (Octopus). Only Octopus replied and said they’d had no switching notice from Tomato.

Finally get an email from Tomato on Wednesday (26th) saying they will switch me on the 2nd (today), and I got the goodby email from Octopus. So I assume all has been switched now. However, I believe I am entitled to the £40 compensation for the delay in switching, and perhaps the extra £40 as I still haven’t received this initial compensation (though I’m not sure what date that starts from). Anyway, in order to claim this, do I just email Tomato and cite the Ofgem rules at them? I have low confidence in this as they haven’t replied to any of my previous emails.

I am having the same issue with Octopus and Tomato Energy double charging me.  After spending a week back and forth with Octopus, they claim they obtained the Final meter reading from the smart meter 2 weeks after I switched.  So it's interesting to hear that they don't have access to the smart meter after the switch happens.

The figure comes from a third party guestimate  rather than an actual reading. I suppose with dumb meters the customer was incentivized to fiddle the final reading, pushing some usage into whatever tariff was cheaper. With smart meters there really should be a transition period where both suppliers have access to the meter data.

£40 compensation if switch fails to complete within 5 working days.

Additional £40 compensation if initial £40 is not paid/credited within 10 working days of breach occurring.

Wait 11+ working days after breach occurred then put a complaint in to new supplier.

"breach occurring" I would suggest is working day after 5th working day that switch failed to complete on
