I don't think they have the capability to get index readings. At least not readings that match reality. Changeover read would need to be a manual one anyway.chuckie851 said:Like the others, I'm going to TE Lifestyle next week. Just one worry though. My smart meter hasn't been sending readings to Octopus since September. The engineer is coming to give it a kick, and I told TE to do the switch later next week. Fingers crossed they manage to get a reading on the 6th.0

Just to note, everything after the meter (including the tails and any isolation switch) belongs to the householder. It's not the supplier's responsibility and whoever told you that was incorrect.WoB said:It turns out there is some work required in the meter cupboard (upgrading tails and installation of an isolator switch) which is the responsibility of the energy provider.N. But Lifestyle is a 12 Month fix, so that's just a risk that the party's over at the end of the current contract.Newbie_John said:I wouldn't also make big plans relying on TE, they are great while they last, or at least while their tarrifs last - right now they are way better than any other competition ones (sure 5p are possible elsewhere but they come with high day rate) - and this is my main worry - prices are going up and TE will revisit their tarrifs at some point - question is how bad will they get? Will they add few pence to their Lifestyle tarrif? Will they introduce 30p+ peak rate 16-19? Glad winter is nearing its end and my usage will start decreasing.1

@bob2302, I meant more like 12+ months involving buying expensive items like new storage heaters, heat pump, battery, EV only because someone is offering 5p/kWh etc.
Right now, still have 8 months left so enjoying it while I can, really hope I will reach a renewal period on similar terms.
So far, there haven't been any changes to their tarrifs - so it must work for both sides.0

I got a 19 months contract so if they last that whole period then that would be fantastic, because in no way will my 62p standing charge be down to 42p in 19 months, and i doubt the Sc for my area will have even moved and could actually be higher.......that will teach me to live in such a rural unpopulated area like Glasgow. lol0

Anyone know how much SEG they pay and works with them?0

Does anyone know what data Octopus has access to after I've switched from them?
Still disputing my final bill - photos of my meter reading haven't made them revisit their final, estimated bill for the final day's usage. I've sent that day's usage figure, pasted from Glowmarkt's website & waiting to see if that will help.
I assumed they'd still be able to see my accurate consumption data at their end - am I wrong?

Not sure if it changed but early info was between 0 and 7p. 0 as they don't do it.sfrazi said:Anyone know how much SEG they pay and works with them?0

The only data they have access to is data collected before your switch.JKS$( said:Does anyone know what data Octopus has access to after I've switched from them?

What I thought I'd asked was - what data do they have access to before I switched...I'm an idiot, I know they can't access my data post switch.masonic said:

I assume they still have 30 minute consumption figures & will be able to access them for some time? If they've lost that data, can they access it from anywhere else? (like I can from Glowmarkt/Bright App). Technical issues have been mentioned in a CS email.
They've now agreed my usage is much lower than they'd expected (hurrah!) but still won't issue a new final bill to reflect that lower usage. Not a hurrah.
