@lohr500 then I guess I've seen your post on Facebook group! Not many people followed.. but now with SMETS1 being kicked out I guess that's a very good alternative.0

Tomato wrote on Facebook group that if your bill is older than:
3 months you get 15% discount
6 months you get 50% discount
12 months it will be free
Another perk 😜2 -

Call me a cynic but what is to stop TE issuing incorrect bills at 3,6 or 12 months if they haven't managed to sort out their problems by those dates?
It looks to me like another knee jerk reaction by a business that hasn't got a grip on what it is doing.1 -

All well and good. But given they seem to be selling under cost, they aren't going to last. I guess we can all look forward to increased standing charges when they go bump and the SOLR process charges are shared out.

That's what I expect - they just wanted a few guinea pigs to carry their tests out - generously offering discounts.
See what sells, what doesn't.
Once all tested, with solid knowledgebase and solutions in place they can become a really great competition to a boring market with just Octopus trying new things.
If I compare all the issues in October when I joined and now 2 months later majority of them are fixed - in my case.
Fingers crossed.2 -

I guess we can all look forward to increased standing charges when they go bump and the SOLR process charges are shared out.Personally I'd have gone with a much more limited scope of testing than basically offer the best prices resulting in an influx of customers then finding out the tech doesn't work and they don't have anywhere near enough customer service reps to deal with the inevitable mess they have made.Given the faults and the lack of customer service,.I expect a lot of involvement from the ombudsman which will just cost them yet more money they don't have. It's probably a good example of how not to do it.1 -

I wanted to leave at a time of my choosing rather than risk ending up being forced moved to a supplier of last resort.Understandable. I just got billed incorrectly, again. Phoned them the second the bill landed, they said they'd get their team to fix it, again. They said they'd put a stop on the direct debit, again. The stop never came, so I emailed them a complaint and cancelled the DD. No doubt have to fight debt collection agents now. But if they go bust tomorrow I don't want to be £100 in the hole for being overcharged. Not sure who I can switch to. Could go back to octopus but their EV tariff was really annoying.0

You're likely to lose your DD discount so you'll pay more. You could even end up with it adversely affecting your credit rating.Better to have asked your bank to reverse the DD.0

They emailed twice to say they were dealing with my account setup to correct it but have done nothing and have stopped writing.
I'm happy with that - according to their CEO I now qualify for 15% off my bills for those 3 months (if they ever arrive).
He has promised a 50% discount if bills are 6 months late and (the Ofgem statutory) 100% discount if no bills arrive in the 12 months.
I hope they stay in business for years and continue to forget me 🤣🍾
They are cheaper than Octopus already - but the way they are going they will be 100% cheaper than everyone - even themselves 🤣
