I'm really glad you put the brackets in place.Newbie_John said:
Yep, I'm surprised it's not more popular - a swimming pool near me has a similar (much smaller) set up and for parking it's great - stops rain, stops sun.. and they can heat water "free".QrizB said:Newbie_John said:From other news, TE is to build a solar panels car park with 80+ charging stations:

The days when anyone should be fooled by the concept that our expensive renewables are cheap because the energy source itself is free are long since gone.

My 8 weeks expired Sunday 10th August, complaint is now underway with the ombudsman.HillStreetBlues said:As expected 6 weeks and no final bill1 -
No update from myself on late final bill, guess TE are doing an Octopus and waiting on the 8 weeks.1

I manage the gas & electric for someone else. When I switched myself in Sep 24 I also switched them forgetting about their gas supply wouldn't be switched. I cancelled the switch 29th Aug 24 and Octopus replied on the 30th Aug 24 that switch was cancelled and they stayed with Octopus since.
Today an email from TE statingWe're currently in the process of switching your electricity supply over to us. Unfortunately, your current energy supplier has objected to switching your supply. They should have written to you to explain why this has happened and what you can do to have this objection lifted so you can switch to us.Let's Be Careful Out There0 -
I switched away from Tomato yesterday. Billing seemed to be getting sorted late spring but it has gone back to missing/sporadic. I wanted them to succeed but just can’t see them getting their systems or finances together in time to satisfy their customers or the regulators. Will be interesting to see how long it takes them to bill me for July and issue the final bill for August. I’m assuming the late bill compensation won’t apply if they go under. It doesn’t really work anyway as once they have triggered the £40 there is no real incentive for them to hurry it up, especially for suppliers that run a credit. Octopus took over 6 months to finally sort my account and pay out when I left them for Tomato. So far so good with Fuse. No issues connecting to the meter and they even have updated the IHD, something Tomato could never do.1

@colin Hope it works out well for you Fuse do have good rates. Though billing has been slower for me too lately and I’ve had more missing/estimated slots on MyWatts when the bill has arrived it’s been accurate and missing slots updated correctly. My average in the summer is 17pkwh well under Fuse and no £50 exit fee.0

I've not had a bill for July 2025, prior to that all bills were on time - anyone else who was previously being billed OK missing the latest July bill?1

I usually get the bill between about the 6th and the 26th of the following month. Not had the July bill yet, but that's still in line with my expectation.JohnPo said:I've not had a bill for July 2025, prior to that all bills were on time - anyone else who was previously being billed OK missing the latest July bill?2 -

Looking at the artists impression - they will be losing 50% of available parking spaces to this scheme.QrizB said:Newbie_John said:From other news, TE is to build a solar panels car park with 80+ charging stations:

I guess it's one way to cut car use.0
