Squashed tomatoes?
The process of revoking Tomato's licence has begun after failure to comply with the Provisional Order - they've got 3 months. Don't hold your breath.
They've had far more chances than they deserve and still can't sort themselves out.

It certainly isn't going to help them secure the investment they desperately need."The 42-day period within which any application could have been made by Tomato Energy, pursuant to section 27 of the Electricity Act, questioning the validity or effect of the Provisional Order published on 11 July 2025 and served on Tomato Energy on 09 July 2025 has now expired without initiation of any such application or
of proceedings relating to such;
- For the avoidance of doubt, Ofgem avers that any such application pursuant to
section 27 of the Electricity Act would have been entirely without merit."Ouch!1 -

In his recent message he wrote "OFGEM does what it needs to do", so they did - although giving them 4 months of breathing space - October, November, December, January - may work in their interest if they're close to something.
Nothing really changed, they're still here, still provide electricity and as usual the future isn't bright 😎

On one hand 3 months is a long time, but on the other they can serve notice as early as Monday, although OFGEM acts quite slow.
TE acts quite confident so maybe they have an investor offer on the table but looking for something better?1 -
There is a comma between those clauses, not a full stop, so Ofgem is only reserving the right to give notice after the 3 months has elapsed.Essentially if TE doesn't make it to mid-January, it will be because they folded independently of Ofgem's action.2

This morning i finally received my £80 GSOP refund to my registered bank account after previously receiving an apology and a "Final Bill" which still has not included the unpaid 1st months energy use.
