Unfortunately for them it wasn't within 6 weeks. Unfortunately for them again, they didn't pay me any Standards of Performance compensation within 10 working days.I am a couple of weeks into a formal complaint about their failure to pay my £80. Even after phoning them, they've not even acknowledged my complaint. I expect I'll be taking it to the Ombudsman and adding on compensation for their failure to engage with their own complaints process.1

They took the money by direct debit as usual a few days after issuing the bill. At that time I was still in "be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits" mode.HillStreetBlues said:

As previously stated, we were with TE since September 1st last year, never had a bill and have left them a couple of weeks ago with agreement that we only pay the standing charges and nothing of the estimated £2k of energy use (across 2 meters) - all went smoothly, the 2 DDs were taken and our move to Fuse Energy was extremely easy.
We are electric only and are paying 22p/unit and 44p standing charge fixed for 18 months. Their app is excellent and shows all 30-min usage without any blanks ----- our meters are SMETS1
I just noticed that we can book new meter installs to SMETS2 already and these are now booked for next week.
The reason for mentioning it is that it "may" be an option to move your SMETS1 from TE to Fuse, get new meters and then wait for TE to sort themselves out ready to potentially move back to then with the newer meter.
Of course, you will ask them to wipe out all of your usage before you help them by moving away.

Odd. Why are Fuse wasting money replacing perfectly fine working meters?0

I did wonder - it was only ever TE that couldn't read them (well they could for the first 6 weeks, then they pressed a button and couldn't for the next 8 months until I left).Bendo said:Odd. Why are Fuse wasting money replacing perfectly fine working meters?
But, if Fuse think they need changing then I'm not going to turn them down.
