Ofgem now has until 10th July to either confirm or revoke the order. Obviously if the independent report was submitted on time and was glowing, they'd not want to impede TE from taking on new customers and would no doubt seek to revoke ASAP. Whereas, the longer the order remains in place, the less likely the outcome is to be positive. Ofgem also needs to reach a conclusion on whether or not to issue a fine for any breaches, should they be confirmed.HillStreetBlues said:

Perhaps more that exactly the same financial situation can be dealt with in a variety of different ways for accounting purposes, according to the wishes of the directors and the skill/audacity of the accountants. My gas meter is probably going to get a full on swap and its barely been used for 3 years. Thats just too inefficient and expensive to be rolling out meters with that kind of shelf life. (its completely dead, not a dumb mode scenario). Dont know what the solution is, one would assume if common sense was used, these meters report battery life on telemetry, so it would be regulation reform to make a supplier pro active on replacing dead batteries before they run out, alongside a regulation change that when a meter battery is dead the consumer is not liable for any consumption, the only way to make suppliers take this stuff seriously is to make it cost them money. If they not reporting battery life, then thats a massive oversight. The next gen whenever that may be should probably have a socket that accepts mains power, it wont be practical for everyone, but would reduce the instances.0 -

Octopus Compare continues to put my 14-M March Loyalty Fix £5 ahead of (lower than) Agile on the ("year" = ) 7 month scan. I would like to draw Tomato into the comparison also but it seems that this is not possible. Has anyone found a way of making Tomato "comparable"?

Bit of a failing and something Ofgem should probably force suppliers to deal with proactively.My SMETS1 meter installed in 2018 is still happily chugging away without any issues, it probably saved me from a tomato nightmare.1 -
