Everyone who suggested anything other than the binary option of VUSA or VLS100 got shot down until OP finally came up with “I invested 50% in VHVG and 50% in VLS100”, which he credits to someone who suggested VUSA!
If you search the OP’s profile you may find a post where he (let’s assume it’s a he) says he’s the only one of his cohort of 100 engineers who has got a promotion and paid off his mortgage; he puts it down to his communication skills. WUM or entertainer, you choose.

There's very little difference in performance between VLS100 and the Global All Cap fund. Over the past five years, the global all cap is a few percentage points ahead, but over a one and three year period VLS100 has performed slightly better.Personally I don't like the overweight to UK equities of the Life strategy range so am all-in on Global All Cap, but it doesn't really make much difference.poppy100

And if pedantry is your thing, I never credited anyone with the decision to go with VHVG, despite the fact someone in this thread did suggest it. It's no good being such a good communicator if people don't bother to read properly.
I compared VHVG past performance and without using that single benchmark as my indicator, I then decided to go with it.0
