..It might surprise you to learn that I am really really not interested in getting to know you, or any other OP who takes such a hostile stance. There are plenty of people to interact with on here who will do so in good faith, so I never feel beholden to those who do not.0 -

You're missing out on companies that are not domiciled in the US or are smaller than the largest 500 (in the US). If you want a US, large cap only portfolio then it's a good choice, but your other fund doesn't meet that requirement.0 -

Can you explain that requirement in a bit more detail? Why only those two?

Look, I've got a red car and a blue car and I'm asking what you prefer. And you're asking me why that model, why those two colours, why that style of rear window blinds. Both are high risk due to their potentially high yield, well established, well subscribed, passive, obvious, commonly recommended (despite some people's fiction-based approach to their own opinion otherwise), diversified within their remit and with a company I trust, at a price lower than other comparitive funds. Before you literally gouge out every reason I've given...

Progress. I feel we understand each other. Now apply that reasoning to the first post in this thread and I might be able to go and lose some money.0

Before you literally gouge out every reason I've given...Ok so I think you're mistaken. The funds you've chosen don't particularly meet all those criteria, so would you consider other funds that do? This is coming from a position of trying to help you (and other people who might read the thread). To use your car analogy, if you said here's a red car that's a two seater and you like it because it goes fast, and here's a blue car that's slow but you like it because it's got four seats, rather than choosing between two compromised solutions, let's find you a third car that's fast AND has four seats.

S&P 500 so dominates the LS100 it makes little difference VUSA is cheaper so go for that.I use VHVG, cheap not paying extra for a bit of pointless EM global coverage.0

VLS 100% accumulation
No need to do any research, just put everything into that one for the next 20 years There ya go. Good luck.

The above should in no way be read as financial advice and is simply a nonsense response to a WUM OP.5 -
My choice would be FTSE Global All Cap as others have said. But knowing that is my personal choice, my choice of one of your two funds would be Vanguard VLS 100. Does that help you?If you want to be rich, live like you're poor; if you want to be poor, live like you're rich.0
