Anyone got the new halifax app yet, I haven’t received any notifications yet?.
Don't expect any major changes. The new Lloyds app isn't a lot different to the old Lloyds app.
Be great if they could compete with the likes of the monzo app etc but I doubt it.
Even if they just added a pots feature that would be a huge improvement. I don't understand why more banks don't offer that as most people must have a need to keep money aside to cover their bills.

Yeah I always hear of people using the pot’s feature, seems a popular thing now so why more banks don’t do it is crazy.

You can open savings accounts, which is all that pots are, really.

I think the useful thing for some people is that some banks offer a service where pots can have direct debits and bills taken from specific pots.

Yes that's what's good about Monzo. You can put all your bills money into a pot when you get paid and have all the direct debits come out of that pot, then you can forget about them and know the main balance is just for your spending. You could do something similar with multiple accounts of course but pots are much more flexible as you can create and delete them very quickly whenever you want. I have five pots with different direct debits and standing orders coming out of each which is much neater than having 5 different current accounts.

The new halifax app doesn’t come close to the monzo app.

That’s a good idea as who wants to see there balance shrinking, the harder it is the better.

    That's disappointing but not surprising.
