Still no email, but, 65p has appeared in my account, exactly the amount that my own calculations showed, which means that 89p should be incoming, at some point, for the third session...

As someone who pays variable DD, being in credit is something of a novelty!  :D
No further emails, but 89p now arrived in account.

Found the boost on the immersion for half of today's session... but also forgot to press go on the WM and TD. Hopefully there'll be another session and I'll be organised enough to remember to switch everything on and boost the immersion for the full hour.

I never signed up, seemee hardly worth the effort for a penny or so with being on Agile,  but noticed I've got a 2p credit anyway.

I got a 2p credit for the second session (a Sunday) which surprised me as I was away on holiday and the house was empty. I am wondering if they had a problem obtaining the readings and 2p is the average payment. Anyway, 2p more than I expected so I won't complain.

Pete's just been back in touch :) , catching up on the usage info. etc. for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th sessions, the latter confirming the most recent amount due to be credited as £1.06.

I've done a couple of the sessions and saved something like £1.50.
A couple of them haven't suited me timing-wise, so I skipped them.
Overall, if I'm in and have a number of electricity-using things to do then I'll go for it; it's a bit of fun, but it is only pennies.

Just had the email too, managed £1.54 from the last session. I made no efforts prior to this one but went the extra mile, oven, immersion, EV etc. Guess it was worth it, even if it has totally screwed up my daily usage records.

£3.14 total for me across the three sessions. It's not going to change my life, but minimal effort involved and every little bit helps....

It's not going to change my life financially, but it has focused my mind on how I can change my habits with a bit of planning - even without smart devices and automation. Obviously having smart appliances that can respond to variable pricing would help with load shifting from things like fridges/freezers (which don't necessarily need to run much during peak time), washing machines, dryers, dishwashers etc.

I batch cooked in each session - and while I ran over a bit, the bulk of the energy use was within the hour, and I didn't need to cook much during the week (meals have also been much quicker!). In winter it might not be so dramatic, but re-heating rather than cooking will be a bonus. I also thought hard about what laundry I did in what order to shift the energy-intensive loads to the free hour, and timed the DW so that the most demanding part of the cycle was at the right time.

I'm not yet prepared to move to an agile tariff, but the occasional free/saving session does make me think. And might result in better use of the solar/battery. I'm lucky in many ways that I work during peak rate, so Flux suits me. All that's running then in my office - I'll never make massive savings then, but it means I don't pay peak rate on other days which is a far bigger saving.
