Oh really, thought I’d seen quite a few posts of people receiving letters of discontinuance from MoorsideChirpyChicken said:

Good Morning All,
Just got home from the hearing & as Queen once said…
‘ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST’
A no show from Moorside Legal!Time to enjoy my hangover in bed now lol6 -
So as expected, Moorside Legal don't always discontinue, depending on their client, neither do any of these Legal firms turn up, they tend to send a 3rd party advocate, but not in your case
So the hearing went as expected, in your favour, meaning that the claimant PCM UK LTD lost money and gained nothing at all, a monkey off your back after almost 18 months, longer than that from the incident date post few years in total
Well done2 -
Quite funny actually because there were atleast 2 other people in the same court awaiting for their hearings against the same claimant! They went in and out pretty quick with smiles on their faces so I had a hunch they wasn’t in attendance! The judge was appalled because they didn’t bother to submit any witness statement, evidence, no letter of extension, or reasoning for not turning up so it was an easy decision.
I finished off by asking him to review my costs schedule since they wasted a lot of my time and the judge has now ordered them to pay me over £300! So a great win
Is there anywhere for me to leave a review or send a little tip for those of you that support and help all of us in the forum?5 -
Why not leave the review on Trustpilot for both Moorside and the PPC, telling your story and encouraging victims to defend with help from here. But not until you receive the costs.
Slight worry is that in January they'll fight it and tell the court they never received the hearing order... so you need to be past that danger and safely have your costs in your pocket, before slagging them off in Trustpilot.

Yeah I’ll hold off before posting any reviews! So they could say they didn’t get the court order, then what? They just get an extension to pay it or?0

Afternoon all,
So I did finally get the money (2 days after their deadline) but required me to do a list of pushing and chasing lol
I called them on the morning of the deadline and they told me that I still owe them £290. I kindly replied and asked if she can see on their system that they was taking me to court and that date was 3 weeks ago.
I then told them of the judges decision and they acted dumb and said they hadn’t received a copy of the judgement. I was then put on ‘hold’ but was actually cut off and put back into the queue as it told me I was number 4 in the queue.
They were totally acting dumb and not willing to pay. I then called later on and the gentlemen advised no managers were in until Monday but he will raise it with someone and then cut off.
Finally at 3pm (1 hour before their deadline) I got through to someone with some common sense and he said, ‘all we needed was your bank details and we’ll get it paid sometime next week for you’.
I did ask for an email confirmation of their payment but this was never received. Then 2 days later, the money finally just arrived.
Just wanted to tell the story as these companies are useless and trying to scam a lot of drivers out of pointless parking charges.
Keep fighting, keep your hopes up and just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone here that’s replied and gave me the help I needed.
much appreciated,
Luke
(p.s I have another PCN recently but a lot more straight forward and very clear errors on their end. We live to fight another day ⚔️)
