Objections increasing against Intel 13/14th Gen.
I need to make decision for ps5/series s xbox.
Might try Mazuma as cex/ukwebuy is drastically reduced.
Maybe I can make next gen intel- don't want to wait until 2025....thanks anyway.

    2 collections from Weds.
Any gen times for Intel releases autumn/winter though delays are almost to be expected in modern times.

I should add If 4070 goes 'ping' then it's panic buy standalone no name Video Card to check M/Board status.
Why do you expect to kill a graphics card? I have gamed on PC for nearly thirty years and I have never had a desktop GPU fail.

Also why are you looking st such tiny monitors?

    @MattMattMattUK

3dfx Voodoo 1 went ping via dos like voltage overclocking 'app'
I don't expect that to happen again though i-gpu is convenient after I play with whatever gpu I have.
The Monitor size to be decided once I choose pc location. if it's living room it means 2nd desk and2nd screen in addition to 48" oled- not sure I want large Monitor, though If bedroom then maybe.

    thanks

That was in 1996, nearly thirty years ago, when build quality was somewhat questionable. Any modern GPU will come with a 1-5 year warranty depending on manufacturer (eg. first party, board partner etc).

The integrated GPU will increase cost, although can hold their resale value slightly better. Do not bother with trying the power switching function between I-GPU and discrete GPU on a desktop, it is at best a total mess and no one recommends it.

Is the 48 inch OLED on the first desk? If not then why not use that? A 25-27 inch monitor is tiny, absolutely awful for gaming, I would say that 32 is an absolute minimum and really 34 or above should be what you are aiming for.

**Any** GPU has limited usage regardless of year ;)
Thanks for gpu info- my knowledge is via Vesa! search makes me Vintage :'(
The Screen size t.b.c. unless Panasonic oled is option?
Does pc's work and run via HDMI, any concerns over resolutions/formats.
I had intended to return to t.v. being used for t.v. viewing as such.
27" I think should be enough for pc time.

    thanks

I have seriously hammered GPUs before and never had a desktop one fail, I actually have a Voodoo 2 that still works! Laptop GPUs are far more likely to die though.

Absolutely, HDMI is a very good option, DisplayPort is a secondary, but pretty much everything is HDMI now. The only slightly issue with TVs is that if you are doing a lot of work on documents the edges of some letters can be slightly blurry due to the subpixel structure, but for most an OLED is by far the best.

It might be me, but I find small monitors frustrating for gaming, not enough real estate, my ideal would be a 38" 4k OLED but that would cost me £2k+ for a good one so currently on a 34" 4k 140hz MSI gaming monitor which is great, really happy with it. At work I have a Dell professional monitor as I need the accuracy for work, but that is standard 60Hz as refresh rate does not matter.

Obviously space and budget are important, but there is no point in going for a well speced gaming PC an them skimping on the monitor.
