Submitted the online form on 1st August. Not chased it but received £26.66 to my external account a couple of minutes ago and the Virgin saver account has disappeared.2

I also submitted online form 1/8. Got cut off during Live Chat 7/8.Hope VM (Nationwide) learn from this shambles but somehow ….0 -
Account closed and final interest received - whether as a result of the online closure process, or the call made to VM last week is anyone's guess...
Total interest seems to be £165.820 -

Since they still haven't closed my account or sent the interest after filling in their online form on 1st August I went on live chat for a second time this evening to put a complaint in. This time they told me it's not possible to close the account via their form and I need to phone or visit a branch to do it. I told them the online agent told me different on Friday and I know for a fact that others used it, but they stuck to their story.1
