    Submitted the online form on 1st August. Not chased it but received £26.66 to my external account a couple of minutes ago and the Virgin saver account has disappeared.

    Mine has disappeared today (was still there 08.30) and interested credited to nominated account 

    I also submitted online form 1/8. Got cut off during Live Chat 7/8. 
    Hope VM (Nationwide) learn from this shambles but somehow ….

    Account closed and final interest received - whether as a result of the online closure process, or the call made to VM last week is anyone's guess...

    Total interest seems to be £165.82

    £26.66 with a smidge of trailing interest I guess, £3188.66 total back from the saver (I opened it on 3rd July)

    Same date of submission, same amount today as well but to my M Plus Saver, no chasing either.

    Thanks to those who flagged the zero balance requirement early doors.

    Since they still haven't closed my account or sent the interest after filling in their online form on 1st August I went on live chat for a second time this evening to put a complaint in. This time they told me it's not possible to close the account via their form and I need to phone or visit a branch to do it. I told them the online agent told me different on Friday and I know for a fact that others used it, but they stuck to their story.

    Am I the last person standing?

    Submitted my form on the 1st August, account disappeared from Virgin yesterday but no extra interest received either into Virgin or my linked, nominated current account.

    I think there should be a virtual trophy for whoever is last to receive their cash!

    Ditto! Submitted on the 1st and I noticed the account had disappeared this morning but no sign of the interest yet. I haven't called or chased at all.
