Just attempted this via on line banking - I was unable to do this (to linked account with Santander from which the regular payments to Virgin RS had been made) on grounds that it exceeded the one off payment amount.
I resent having to waste time ringing Virgin.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -

Virgin website seemed to be struggling with the number of us opening new accounts though!Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Are others having this ongoing app issue.
Also I assumed my account was now matured (i.e. on 31 July) - but online it is still showing a rate of 10.38%. Didn't open it until mid August 2024 - but I assume that doesn't affect the 31 July maturity date?0 -

You also need to bear in mind this is a fixed rate account with easy access, and some may prefer that over a higher interest variable rate account and/or one you cannot withdraw your money fromI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -

Online login has a text message option, so you don't need to have the app.0 -
Today I've discovered that this rule is no longer enforced. I've emptied my "05" platform online today.
I was unable to withdraw more than £500 this morning. I do not have the app because I do not use a smartphone.
I shall check the on line log in page again now.
