I will just wait until the account matures then withdraw everything & keep the morphed account open.
What's your reasoning for keeping it open?

RS will mature but the interest will not be paid for July until September when the next interest payment is made so you'd get the ~£3123 or whatever it is then the last £30 or something + change in September

You can get your interest paid in the first few days of August if you close the Easy Access account your RS has matured into. You are also free to withdraw the matured balance immediately upon maturity.

There seems to be various confusion over this, why Virgin seem to make it so I don't know. I'm going to do what I've said because anything they do owe me I'll get eventually if not straight away, other money can go elsewhere, I've got various things to manage as it is, I'm not desperate to go through the whole getting an account shut down process etc to get any funds due, the bulk of my money will go straight into my existing regular savings accounts to fund next month.

They all do. And no, there might be more Virgin regular savers in future, there was one in May, but I wouldn't expect this level of generosity again - it was almost definitely related to the takeover which completed last October.

Mine is still showing as a regular saver with an interest rate of 10%.

Clearly 10% was a great rate, the like of which we are unlikely to see again under Nationwide, but I will not miss the quirky VM systems and accounts.

Same - still a regular saver for me.
Can I move the money now and wait for it to mature (and then close the easy access account to withdraw the remaining interest)?

The regular saver never had any restrictions on withdrawing money, so yes, you can withdraw the current balance.

I calculate that my accrued interest for July is £26.65.
