You are also free to withdraw the matured balance immediately upon maturity.

Just attempted this via on line banking - I was unable to do this (to linked account with Santander from which the regular payments to Virgin RS  had been made) on grounds that it exceeded the one off payment amount.

I resent having to waste time ringing Virgin.

There are no such limits on the app to any account and funds arrive via faster payment.
I think the withdrawal limits only apply to people who don’t use the app and can therefore not go through the additional authentication VM require
I could not do it on the app (due to it crashing), but could do it on the website, so riddle me that!
Well I went online and VM would not let me take anything out of my regular saver without using the app. So I installed the app and withdrew the lot. Now I try to get back into my account using the app and it wont work.
I have been having issues with the VM app for some time - it just won't login on my iphone. Thankfully I can login via online banking with a text!

Are others having this ongoing app issue.

Also I assumed my account was now matured (i.e. on 31 July) - but online it is still showing a rate of 10.38%. Didn't open it until mid August 2024 - but I assume that doesn't affect the 31 July maturity date?
My Virgin app sometimes glitches and looks like it is going to open but immediately closes again. Turning your phone off and back on usually fixes it

And should this not fix it, a re-install of the app might do so

I shall check the on line log in page again now.

    No text option for me.

And after some 45 minutes on the phone to Virgin this morning, no such option was offered.

Today I've discovered that this rule is no longer enforced.  I've emptied my "05" platform online today.

I was unable to withdraw more than £500 this morning. I do not have the app because I do not use a smartphone.

I shall check the on line log in page again now.

You can use telephone banking to get round not having the app, I did yesterday successfully

Strange, according to t&c you should be able to withdraw 2 x £500 per day per account (internal transfers don't count).

does this only apply to savings accounts? If its the current as well its a pretty hopeless current account!

The current account only permits £500 a day.

As for telephone banking, apparently I did set up a code at some point  (not exactly sure when and Virgin couldn't tell me.....)

I did find a possible among my records but unwilling to take a chance and create more hassle.

I've transferred to the linked M saver and shall withdraw over the next few days. Annoying but not a matter of life and death.

The old RS has lost its RS title and become an easy access. Via chat I've been advised how to close the account which I've done - balance withdrawn to my Santander account, hopefully with the July interest added. In two working days they say. I've already withdrawn my £3137 so I can now turn my attention to the new RS.

Does anyone know if you have closed your now easy access Virgin account how long does it take to receive your interest.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

Closure seems to be a manual process by a member of staff. They will credit the interest to the account you specify immediately at the same time as they close the account. If you use the online form, then they aim to process closure within 2 working days.
