Got same error from Barclays but continued anyway with £1 - received ok
    Thanks
How long does it usually take for new account to get into checking system - I don’t re,e,beer having this problem in the past when I’ve opened new accounts
Honestly no idea, I find COP very hit and miss, as long as you know the accounts exist (& fully open) you should be fine to send money.

Could just be a Virgin Money account thing but I've had it with non virgin things.

I have issues with building societies accepting that my Virgin Money current account exists sometimes, so like I'll want it as a nominated account, in case of Saffron they have to manually approve it which they are happy to do because they can see I've funded Saffron accounts from it before, in case of Bath Building Society I had to use a Barclays account as a nominated account instead.

Yesterday I opened a virgin m plus current account and the regular saver - all successful and could see the accounts online
but today I tried to transfer money from my hsbc current account to the virgin current account and hsbc rejected the transfer
error said “Account is not supported, The payee’s bank doesn’t offer this service for this account type”

    Anyone seen this before
i specified personal account type with my name as payee full name
I had a similar error message when transferring from HSBC to my Virgin saver. I ignored it and the transfer went through ok

I'm confused why this isn't on the MSE best savings account page actually?

I've opened this a couple of days ago and funded it with the first £250.

The info states 'calendar' month so I wanted to double check if I add the next £250 on the first of next month or do I have to wait until the 25/26th (a month after the saver was opened)?

    1st September is a Sunday.
Which is why it is advantageous to use a manual FP rather than standing order.
