    i received an email from their customer services saying
    "due to an unprecedented response we have now run out of stock of the 5.1 FREE speaker system.
    However, we have today sent out an alternative system which retails at £99 and we are sorry for any inconvebience this may have caused."

    sounds great, just keeping my fingers crossed.
  • I received the packet of pens, no copy invoice just an advice note which contained meaningless information. I also did not receive an online order acknowledgement
    The lady that I spoke to earlier today made no mention of an alternative system being available. Here's hoping!

    I got my pens today.. but no gift!! they charged me for it to!
  • Wierd, I recieved an email stating that due to relocation they would be unable to send my order untill AFTER 04/10/04 ( it was already past this date when I placed my order!)
    Unfortunatley my pc crashed & I backed up onto a new Hard drive and lost the email so I dont renember the EXACT details. :'(

    Please note that any orders received will not be processed until Monday the 04.10.04 . Please note that this is purely an order confirmation email. This email does not constitute an acceptance of your order. We will send you further emails once your order has been processed and sent from our warehouse. Delivery is currently 5 working days.

    when I placed my order on 12th Oct that is after 4/10 it gave me a warning that my order will be process in 4 working days.
    After reading on this thread, lost my patience and phoned Staples CS. Was waiting for 35 min to get through. Once phone is answered, 'nice' lady told me that it should be next week, and no free gift. She said that they have waiting list for the gifts and I probably (she did not sound positive) will get it. When I asked her for the delivery refund, cos it's silly to pay for PP if you wait for 2 weeks. She could not do that, and offered to write a claim form. Also she could not cancel it. I aksed her to speak to the manager in order to sort this out, she took my details and promiced that manager will call shortly. I pointed that cannot wait for another 35 min, if I don't get call back.
    Manager could not cancel order and remove my details, but when I agreed to keep my order (without free gift, it will be sent as soon they have it), she agreed to remove P+P charge.

    I am sorry for long post, and hope this info will help you.l ;)
