Your journey has been amazing - you should be so proud of yourself - I know that we are all proud of you - I hope that doesn't sound condesending - it is meant with the greatest respect and admirationYou don't need anyone else's validation of what you have achieved - from your posts, you don't get it even though it seems like you are seeking it.You know what you have done and the journey that you have travelled to get to where you are now - you are AMAZINGI hope that you get all that you deserve and that you find peace with the people around you and come to realise that the only person that matters is you....not them. You are only as good as how you perceive yourselfGood luck with your purchase wherever and whatever it may be2

Evening.
Had a long day today. Started at 9 and only just home. I've got an hour of admin to do tonight.
Went to a holistic event yesterfsy snd hsd a reading. She was very positive. Said I was moving house, that it was a non negotiable. Said I had come full circle and that good things were coming my way. The death card came out and she said thst means that the past is done and it's a rebirth for me.
She said I have too many ideas going around in my head, and that it's a chaotic place to be.
I've not been past the house I'm viewing today. I view it every day. I might walk the dogs up later on for a look.
I've done 1000 steps today- pitiful!
Thank you for all the support. It means everything, even though we're all strangers, you offer me nothing but encouragement and kindness.

It's been a busy day today. I've started to empty out the loft. As I used to sell clothes I've got bags and bags up there. I've counted 12 so far. It's frankly a joke, but another reminder of how poorly I was in 2020. I hoarded. I had no control and so controlled the clutter. I'm paying for it now, as it's all got to be cleared out.
Picked up four pieces of furniture from an auction today, or rather got a man and van to do it. I paid £14 per item and £40 for the van. They are selling online for £257. I'm going to list the three I'm not keeping. I think I'm going to get all my furniture from auctions. My sister told me to get a Wren kitchen on IFC for 5 years. I'm not doing that, debt scares me now. I'll buy a second hand one from FB and find somebody to make it fit. If I don't have the money then I can't have it.
My sister has been mocking the amount I've been paying in rent £1000 a month. She been saying 'I can't believe you are paying that'. I didn't really have a choice I don't think. Must be nice to live in an ivory tower.
I'm not taking my settee and have found a young person who has just moved out of a HMO. I'm going to gift it to her.
I know everybody is thinking that the house I'm buying is a dump, but it will be my dump, and I'm proud that I've been able to put my name to it. My dad is very excited. He's got loads of ideas for the place. I'm going to turn it into a palace for myself.
Happy Friday x

Delurking to wish you well for your move. My daughter received her mortgage offer on Thursday and is buying her first (possibly last as she feels it's perfect for her) house at the age of 43 just a couple of miles away from me. She is currently 40 miles away but her work is now in my town. It was a bit touch and go whether she could get a mortgage as she is on contract (as are so many these days) but has always worked and paid rent on time etc. About 18 years ago she admitted she had run up some large debts and entered into a DMP with Stepchange but she took on weekend work (as well as her normal job) and paid everything off, and a couple of years ago discovered budgetting
and now she is extremely organised with her finances. She told me yesterday she is already looking at paint colours for the kitchen as she has always hated being limited in what she can do to her rentals. I feel so excited for her (I cried when I heard she had got the mortgage offer) and happy to know that she will have her own space where she can relax. Good luck for the future and ignore the naysayers - "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home" (ref:Home, Sweet Home by John Howard Payne).
