@Phones4Chris Yes. There was a hiccup one day, but that was most probably unrelated - perhaps to do with the simultaneous dismantling of the Hugo permissions. So it was just Bright, as far as I was concerned.

An update from Jane at Glowmarkt:

The recent Aclara meter issue was a different one and has been resolved. Unfortunately the one from last year, that still affects several hundred people, remains open.

Would any Aclara customer still having trouble retrieving meter data via third party utilities please come here and describe the symptoms? I rather thought the problem that arose in May 2024 was resolved for everyone last year, but apparently not.

Our meter was replaced on 1st April 2025 but didn't work at all until the comms hub was replaced o n 20th June 2025. Almost immediately Bright started collecting data, including from the 19th, then a few days later it stopped. Octopus managed to backfill all import data and a lot of export, then they stopped as well but they also stopped after 1st July.

Ironically Bright are now having problems with Kaifa meters ..

".. the WAN is up so we can 'speak' to the meter, but the meter is not responding to our requests to return data.

Recently, we have seen this a few times for other customers who have, like you, a Kaifa electricity meter. We are continuing to investigate, and will discuss this with the DCC who manage the infrastructure, and will let you know what we discover as soon as we have news. "
