Frizzlef said:We had friends round for dinner last night. Always motivation to tidy up! So a quick clean up downstairs and hoovered and mopped all the floors.
Today's list....
Clean upstairs bathroom
hhi
Tidy bedroom
Declutter and clean a drawer or cupboard
2 x wash loadsI very much identify with that!Round - it's impossible to know why she did that but please give her the benefit of the doubt and just let it go; a Facebook friend isn't a real friend anyway and it doesn't mean anything. You know who your real friends are and that's all that counts.
This morning I popped to the bakery and then on to the 08.30 service, after which I stopped off at the Little Waitrose, which opens at 7 even on a Sunday, to pick up a John Lewis C&C order. I came home and cleaned the kitchen and made us a coffee and am now about to watch some of the Olympics, although it will soon be time to prepare lunch.

In all honesty better not to worry BUT ensure your settings are such that she can't see anything you post. Just in case
We had a lovely time at my neice's BBQ yesterday - DD played with all the kids; one great-niece has "ta'ood" me so I am walking round with a pink/orange star on my arm. I handed out LOTS of birthday/anniversary cards (insert Martin's revolving head) so many stamps saved. I also spoke to BiL to ask if he had any spare paving stones and could I have 6 (he has a firm that does roads etc) so now I need to arrrange to collect them.

Thank you both xx
I'm over it now. DS has made an impromptu visit and we've had a chat. As long as DS and I are OK I'm good.
Picked a few weeds out of the front garden after walking with DS to the gate to wave him off.

Sorry that happened to you Round, but as I find people can be a bit weird sometimes I'm not as surprised as you.Belovéd has done a job that's needed doing for months and is carrying on being constructive and helpful. I have to say normally he just ignores everything to do with the house so three days of him taking it seriously and actually doing stuff has been amazing. Because he's done so much that free'd me up to pour boiling water on the front wall, sundeck and other woodwork to kill the green growth, which was a job that would have taken me forever if I hadn't used both electric kettles as well as the gas hob kettle, so a job well done. I'll know which bits I've missed in 48 hours and will also then be able to do the next stage of the outdoor stuff that needs doing.Tomorrow will be carrying on with the sitting room. I haven't got that much to do because I did the window and door and its frame yesterday but I need to finish the last bit of picture rail and wall, both of which are tricky to get at, and I can then wash the other half of the carpet. I won't do that until all threat of rain has passed and we're guaranteed a couple of days of dry weather. We're revaming the sitting room while all this is going on and it'll look much better having been decluttered and decisions made as to what needs replacing to brighten it up a bit. Then on to the front door and airlock. I will get this place looking good once and for all.Better is good enough.5

Round thats very odd. DSs girlfriend is a sweetheart, but her mother does not think DS is good enough. A husband who has serious long term health issues and was too poorly to go to school was never in her long term plans for her daughter, even though DS has done an apprenticeship and fought really hard to get a decent job and even though he adores his GF. We will never be friends, but that's fine, I can be polite to her when we meet.
Home from a lovely weekend away at a rather nice caravan park near Harrogate. Shame it was only 2 nights but we have booked another break already. Oh and I have started CBT for the anxiety which feels positive. Small steps.
