CoG here's the link to the NY Times Connections.I have an inner monologue and have been aware that not everybody does for quite some time. What surprises me is that sometimes I say things that I haven't been aware that I've been processing because that inner monologue is how I think things through.I am so tired I'm not sure how I'm going to get through today. I'm desparate to make progress in the sitting room so that it can be put back together and life will feel a bit more civilized.I've put almost all of our bird feeding gibble on F'book Marketplace (I think I said something about it a few days ago). Last night someone messaged me at gone 11.00pm about one item - she wants me to dismantle it for her (I agreed) and would like to pick it up next Wednesday! First come first served baby.Better is good enough.5

I have an inner monologue too and in fact was talking about this with my son in law the other day. He doesn't think in words and I just can't work out how he can do that. I also have a song in my head all the time, not always the same one and not always a song I like. I have in the last few years managed to plant songs in my head that I find less annoying so that's progress I suppose.I have dried two loads of washing today and I have my daughter's dog for the next week so I've done some slow walking. He's not old, just thorough!5

Hi all,
I used to be on here many many years ago and found it so helpful as a youngish mum of 2 boys. After having my daughter, I fell of the band wagon and then tried to follow a few other cleaning routines. I am now struggling with motivation and accountability. The children are older (8, 12 and 14) so I should have no excuse other than having quite a busy life!
I am a teacher on summer hols so I thought now would be the perfect time to get started and stop procrastinating over which job to do first!
I had to search a bit but was so pleased to.see this thread still running! I still recognise some names on here!

Evening all. We have had rain this evening - but we are in south-west Wales!
Before we left home I
- stripped my bed, did WMx1, and hung out. Hopefully K brought it in before any rain
- sorted a few more photos and put all the boxes and albums away in the cupboard
-cleared my desk and both chests of drawers upstairs
- dusted upstairs
- s&s’d the bathroom
- emptied all bins
- watered all houseplants
- moved all food for K and the girls into the kitchen FF
- PUPA in the LR and DR
- left the kitchen tidy.
After all that, driving a twisty road through the mountains was a doddle
We have spent the evening with my eldest goddaughter P and her parents. Off to seeDH’s cousin in Tenby tomorrow, then we have to attend a dance class organised by P before her party
Happy weekend to all xxx5 -
