Suspended from eBay for 12 months! :( what can I do?

My ebay account was suspended about a year ago due to unpaid item strikes (dont all shoot me at once!, I was going to pay for the items but I had some unexpected costs and I had to get my priorities right)
I completely forgot the details of this suspended account so I setup another account. eBay realised this and have told me the accounts will be suspended for 12 months! which in my opinion is ridiculous. After recieving the details of the first account I have managed to get the unpaid item strikes removed there was 3 of them. I paid £3 compensation to each of the sellers. Please bare in mind up to now I have never sold anything and my feedback score for buying was around 20 and 100%.
eBay replied to one of about 5 of my emails and told me that the accounts will be banned 12 months at least. I have tried live help but they say they cant do anything and to contact the trust and safety department, who are now NOT replying to my emails.
Whats everyones opinion of my situation? Do I deserve to be suspended for 12 months? Is it a justified punishment? Is it too harsh?
I allso want to know how I could get back on ebay legitametly?
Thanks

Non paying bidders are a pain in the butt on ebay so your punishment is probably deserved.
Don’t bid unless you know you will be able to pay even if you have unexpected costs.0 -
You broke two rules, so which are you suggesting is unfair?
Rule one, pay for your goods. Why should your sellers have been out of pocket to you, maybe they had expenses that needed covering as well.
Rule two, don't open or operate a second ebay id when you are already suspended.
To make one mistake is perhaps careless and a year's ban might be harsh, to break two starts to look intentional.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you have resolved the issues on your original account & the sellers have removed the UPI Strikes then I would appeal against the decision to suspended the original account.
Once you've successfully appealed the decision, then both accounts will be re-instated0 -
How did you forget you were already suspended once? Or am I not understanding your message?
I do get annoyed when people bid and then you never hear from them, its very annoying and wastes my time:mad:
When you bid on items you are entering into a contract. If you couldn't pay, did you contact the sellers and explain or just ignore their messages? Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
you entered an agreement to purchase goods from someone and then didn't what do you expect?0

I should have known I would get got mobbed by all the eBay sellers! deservingly so I guess.
I just wanted a comparison on the type of punishments ebay handout.0 -
well did you contact the sellers or did you just switch the computer off and never go back on and act as if it never existed?
NPB are a total pain to sellers so i agree with the action they took,im sure if you actually went through the correct process of mutually withdrawing from the sales then you wouldnt have been banned....work permit granted!0 -
The fact is, it doesn't matter what we think on MSE, because you don't have to convince us (or not). It sounds as if you have made a mistake, you've done all you can to move things and they cannot be moved.
What is it that you want to achieve? Buying things on ebay or selling? If you want to buy things, do you have a friend who could bid on your behalf, if you give them the cash and a limit for items before the sale, so there is no risk to them (& so that you are not caught in a similar situation as last time). It would seem that you have to wait a year, then can have your suspension lifted.0 -

i guess you just have to serve your time and all of your e-bay sins will be absolved..............look at Nelson Mandella, he went to prison served his time and he never re-offended....0
