Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, completed Wordle and Connections, filled the birdbath, watered my hanging basket, given my peace lily a drink, eaten breakfast and supped my brew.
It's Friyayyyyyy. No blood. No bodies to hide. Boy, they do try my patience though. I actually am one of the most normal ones on the corridor. This is frightening. I told the supervisor this and she agreed with me 🤣 I don't know what criteria they've started to use at interviews but it needs altering. Lowlight yesterday was when I tried to explain something to a colleague and she insisted that I was doing it wrong. I walked away and asked the supervisor to address the issue. I did get an apology later - assumptions had been made. Too late: my mardy cardi was on and buttoned up to the neck. Highlight was the gorgeous J came into our office. And we had a conversation. Be still my beating heart. 💓 S, K1, and K2 were in stitches afterwards as I was all of a dither. He's married. He's at least 20 years younger than me. I'm not interested in that way in any shape or form. But he is gorgeous. And it's nice to know that I'm not dead!
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I head off.
Oh. And my Cher CD finally turned up. It's been missing for umpteen years. I decided to listen to Roger Whitaker on my way to work, grabbed the CD case, opened it, and there was Cher. Cosying up to Roger all this time!!! Meaningful looks in DS's direction. Hmmm. Cher is now back in her own box...and I'm a happy bunny. 😊
Love to all

Oh Round… love the idea of a mardy cardi…I have a mental picture. And you ‘ve reminded me of Sue Barker who used to go all dithery when David Ginola was on Question of Sport 🤣
Ive just put the second wash in. We are in for a hot one today so it’ll be a loose dress for me. And curtains staying drawn.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Oooh all this talk of the Family from One End Street has piqued my interest. So I've downloaded it from my library and I even found another one from the family at the library - Holiday at the Dew Drop. So I've placed a hold on that one...
It's a gorgeous day here, the washing is going round the machine so that'll be ready to go out shortly. It's so lovely to have warm weather here especially after it's been so soggy. I wish I'd known it would be so wet here... I've been so used to our little micro climate in Kent that being here in Wales in this little valley between the mountains is a shock to my system...lol Thankfully it won't get as hot as Kent used to.
Spent yesterday afternoon moving the bedroom furniture around to where I wanted it. In that process I managed to dislodge the back off the bookcase so today I've got to tack it all together again. But I'll definitely use more than DH used when he put it together 😋
Been out and sprayed the veggies with a soap solution early this morning. I may even take my breakfast outside and sit at the patio table watching the birds and listening to the RAF jets flying over shortly...lol Oh the joys of living under a training flypass. - it's actually got an official name The Mach Loop and you can see Chinooks, Hercules, a stealth jet, a couple of tiger jets at any one time. Yesterday we had a blue Hornet jet fly over the house
Wonder what'll fly over today..lol
Today I want to do the following -
- Hoover bedroom
- Clean cat tray and refill
- Wash and change bedding
- Defrost tea and lunch for today
- Quick dust around
- Pick up puppy toys and put in toy boxMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

In no particular order I have done work shift, exercises, sorted out Poppets toys (it's her birthday today 8 so we need to make room for new toys), sewed up the toy she wouldn't give up, played with Poppet, put the duster on a stick all around the house, s&sd bathrooms and completed all dailies. Both lots of washing now dry and put away, just two tops to iron at some point.Spend less now, work less later.7

@Natty68 don't have too high expectations of TFFOES - it's a children's book after all. I think a lot of it wouldn't make much sense to today's children as the world has changed so much since it was written in the late 30s. Although I first read it in the late 60s or early 70s the world it was describing didn't seem so different the the way things were then in the north of England at least.I sent Emil to my SIL and wrote a card but after I had sealed the packet with the book in A noticed that I'd left the card out (doh!). I had to send it separately - not very money saving. This morning after posting the book and card I went to Victoria for something and got back in time to make lunch, by which time it was very hot (the car, which was parked in full sun, said 33 degrees when I got in it to drive home). The tube going to Victoria was very busy and I wished I'd taken my mask as I don't want to get another infection on top of this one, which is still not 100% better. Anyway, I'll just have to hope for the best. After lunch I washed a few things I'd forgotten to do yesterday and then put them on the rack to dry. Because it's so warm they dried in no time. After that I didn't really do much as it was too warm- just made supper and washed up. We had some fresh broad beans with our supper and it struck me, not for the first time, what an amazing vegetable they are. The pod has a tag at one end which is attached to a sort of seam that goes all the way down. If you pull the tag down, the 'seam' opens the pod as if it were a zip. Inside are the beans in what appears to be a fur-lined bed; they really are a little work of art.7

BTW Natty, I know this is a flylady thread but cleaning your garden veg with soap and water is beyond the call of duty. You'll be dusting the grass next.8

Morning. Hope you're all ok this morning. DH is complaining of cold like symptoms, am hoping it will pass as we have a big family day out tomorrow and it's cost a small fortune!
Anyway I'm up early to take Poppet for a walk before it gets too hot and to water the garden. I don't think I'll get much flying done today as I'm in a tennis match later.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all xx
It's weeeeekeeeennnd 😊. I'm up, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, sorted washing into loads, set first load swishing, completed Wordle and Connections, and I'm supping my first brew.
Morning reading next.
Keep cool. Stay hydrated...especially if you are playing tennis on the heat of the day 🥵
Love to all

Morning all,
Yay for the weekend, although not so pleased that it was twot all night for sleeping.
Wm is on. I will go to the allotment shortly, there might even be something to pick which will be a small miracle, as all my crops are struggling this year. Will get dressed first, as that seems the acceptable way to go about things. I have lots of indoor flying to do as well, but I am conveniently forgetting those jobs for this morning. Anyway, the sun will be off the back of the house by then - that’s an excuse if ever I heard one, as it’s actually overcast at the moment 😉.
Cuppa time again, priorities - waiting for Round to get that kettle on 😊
Good luck with the tennis match later, Jazee.
Have a lovely day all, keep cool x6 -
Kettle's boiled Fayolle 😊
Morning reading was postponed. Instead I
Got dressed
Filled the birdbath
Fed the birds
Filled the hedgehog's bowl
Watered the hanging basket
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Put new bin bags in the bins
Pegged out first load of washing
Set second load swishing
And I'm now melting. I'll peg out the second load when it's finished swishing. I'll WUDUPA when the sun has moved round off the kitchen. Apart from that heat has stopped Round.
TdF. Reading. That's the plan for the rest of the day.
