I've submitted the claim for the train delay, and what a palaver it was. Let's hope it come through without any problems.

Morning all.
Plans for today are work shift, dye hair, cut grass, walk Poppet, dailies. Anything else will be a bonus.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all xx
Thinking about you today Fayolle xx Hope all goes well.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, completed Wordle, managed two lines on Connections, eaten breakfast and supped a brew.
Ooo The Family From One End Street - first read at primary school and still on my bookshelf, along with Further Adventures of the FFOES. Loved these books. And I saw the picture, Carnation Lily, Lily Rose recently and was taken straight back to Mr Ruggles not wanting to call his child Carnation, so Lily Rose she was.
I read Emil and the Detectives a couple of years ago when I found it in in the RoD. Then passed it on to cs.
I'm thinking that we may be having summer this week....so sandals are going on. If it rains you can blame me 😉
I have time to do my morning reading so that's next on the agenda. Then feed the birds, put out the recycling, and trundle off to work. I think most schools break up today so I'm looking forward to the 'summer' commute....from tomorrow?
Love to all.

Morning all,
Somebody stole yesterday somewhere along the way, but I do remember going to work in the day and clearing the bulk of the ironing pile when I got home.Today I have swapped my day off so that I can go to hospital in the big town with DD. This was supposed to be her annual check and only appointment of the summer. How things change. Anyhow, I am up, dressed, had a double cuppa. Mr M delivered at 7am. Wm run and washing hanging outside. I have a long list of overdue flying to start but the guag has done a runner.Schools here don’t finish until the middle of next week. Then I suspect the roadworks will start for the summer, making the commute tedious. However, I may join Round by digging out my sandals today, so keep a watch on the weather.
Hugs to all, have a good day all x6 -
morning all

Thanks Valli. They're both really good books aren't they round? I've nearly finished Emil now - it's a lovely little book and I hope my great nephew likes it. I'll read TFFOES once I've finished Emil.Last night I had difficulty sleeping as my nose felt as if it had been injected with concrete (and to a large extent still does). My throat felt its worst - really painful and my left ear was ringing and I felt terrible. I started to worry what would happen if my immune system couldn't fight it off, but of course these things always seem worse at night don't they. Anyway, by the time I got up (very late) my throat was a lot better so hopefully it will continue to improve and I'll be back to normal in a day or two.I feel pretty tired though so shan't do much today. I've got a load of washing on and will do another later and dry it all am am going out to get some bread and the paper but that's about it. I've got a delivery coming later so I don't need to do any more shopping.7

Everything on my list earlier done except walking Poppet as it's too hot. Also hoovered through and checked banking. Relaxing for a bit now before next work shift.Spend less now, work less later.6

Twot. Home now, after an extended trip that involved shopping (DD) and paying (me). Some craft bits might have slipped into my bag. Like I needed more, but I really did, honestly 🤫. DD got a clean bill of health from this morning’s particular clinic.
Cleaned ensuite before we left. Now I need to summon up energy, enthusiasm, something to make me clean the bathroom.Take it easy, CoG. I’ve never read Emil but heard of it. Might try the library.
Good luck, Valli.7 -
i *think* I read Emil and the Detectives or it was read to us (those heady days when we had story time). I’ve definitely read the Family from One End Street and it’s sequel.
Kitchen cleaned properly, and am half way round bathroom now. i do like cleaning in fine weather when i can open doors and windows. I’ve replaced the fly trap sticker in the kitchen…the last one had faded! Because it’s so hot i keep having little rests…Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all.
I've been up an hour, am dressed, dailies are done except putting out recycling (don't want to upset the neighbours), walked Poppet before it gets too hot, and I've watered the gardens and topped up vases indoors. First of two wash loads is in machine.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8
