In the painful last few days before payday, lovely to see 12 quid from qc land in my bank overnight taking the balance to £14.68, I have submitted a tube delay repay for yesterday's delayed tube commute which took all of 30 seconds and have a £1 (wooooohoooo) cheque for miscalculated interest on a closed account to pay in. The only thing I need to buy before Friday's payday is milk.

Yay, twas pay day today - couple of manual debt payments made, several more over the next week or so via dd so will update sig in a few days. That 10k is out of reach again this month due to assorted weekends away spends and another school trip.

Managed to spend £101 on the Lid shop today - doesn't even feel like it was a particularly huge shop, several things have gone up in price and a couple of my staples seem to be discontinued or just out of supply which is frustrating. Thought I'd get something different for dinner but marinated pork belly slices and rice didn't go down well so will be cooking big routine things tomorrow to feed the yoofs, they didn't used to be that fussy but I feel the xh feeds them beige so they're less adventurous the 50% of the time they're with me. Oh well another pasta and potato few days it is.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo  :'(:'( a just shy of £1,200 car repair bill that's knocked me back, am going to chance not quite a third out of my current account and then £800 on a credit card. There's no emergency fund for this though after the next service charge bill, I'll put any surplus left from the savings off the card I'll be using.

I saw your comment on LzzyIsGod's diary about the repair bill for your car - just what you didn't need and so frustrating.
I will read through your diary and start following your progress.

Not feeling quite as grim today, dp is coming to stay this weekend for 3 nights which is a lovely thing to look forward to as I'll get hugs to relieve the stress - he's going through a rubbish divorce so needs the hugs too.

Enjoying the evening sun on my balcony after wfh today and thinking I really should spend some time this weekend tarting it up, will see what I have in to be able to do that for nothing. Now to nag the teenmomsters suffering end of year exams to get some revision done - send me strength!

The hugs sound a good idea!

I follow a few Garden Inspiration type groups and like to pick up cheap ideas from those..there's something quite satisfying from creating something lovely from bits you already have

The not-front market recycling company have turned round my phone recycling in under a week and £24 landed in my bank overnight. I would have paid that off the card the replacement phone for teenmonster#2 went on but obviously it's being diverted into the how much!!!! car bill instead. Am going to reduce the card part of the payment to £750 and take a slighlty larger current account hit. I hear that cars function better with 4 brakes so broken bank account rather than broken car so tis what it is.

A nice weekend here - dp and I did lots of DIY bits (well I mainly supervised  :D), did discover some strange wiring set up in the kitchen though which is definitely a professional job for another year and in the meantime I need to buy some flush blanking plates so I can decorate.

A bit of a milestone here too - teenmonster#2 was with me most of the weekend while dp was here which hasn't happened before. The 3 of us went on trip up to one of the big free museums and they had a few chats (as well as them both taking the mick out of me at one point) so nice to see that acceptance, (almost ) worth the 28 quid in the museum cafe for coffee and cake.
