Any experts on Virgin seating? Im booked on VS043 direct and of course can book my seats online

All the exit seats are unavailable (as expected:confused: ) t here will be 2 of us and was just think of booking row 63/62 so that we have no one sititing next to us? Any hints/tips??

    Cheers

    LA
Go for the row behind where the 2 seats in a row start......you get to stretch into the missing seat space, which you dont in the first 2 seater row.

hi folks - im in a bit of pickle

I have booked a return flight to las vegas, direct, from manchester

    It is booked with flythomascook

Leaving 18th maay, returning 25th may

I only booked it 48 hours ago, and due to unforseen circumstances i can no longer go!

Upon reading my email confirmation it says "100% non refundable" can they do this?

Im really stuck with what to do... thanks
Can you transfer it into someone elses name? If so, maybe ebay it?

The beauty of the Virgin awards is that you can buy a ONE way ticket at 50K for this journey.
So you could travel out\or back in style and then use 20K to slum it back...

see post #5 ( i think) for the money and miles method with Virgin Atlantic. please be aware the T&c state you need previous earning activity on your account to buy this type of fare , but MSE members have never had a problem in the past , when having none.
Hi Trets, can you tell me how MSE members have got around this in the past - I've registered a new account (currently an offer for 1000 bonus miles for new flying club members :j ) but can't buy extra miles online and get the message saying I must have had previous activity?

Trowel - think it mentions in Trets posts @ the beginning of this thread, but essentially, I think its stated one of the easiest ways is go for the Virgin credit card and make just one purchase

(if that's an option for you)

on another note, cheers for the feedback, interesting to hear they've cottoned on to it and pulled the plug it seems

well that has answered a question. nobody knows when this little clause came in ( we became aware of it about Xmas time ) , and they have choosen to enforce it, it seems . it probably has not been in place when others have booked using this method so there was nothing to get around .

the way around it i can see ( apart from taking a flight) is to apply for the Virgin Atlantic credit card which gives (earns ) you 3000 or 6000 miles

    http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/creditcard/index.jsp

how long to deposit the miles in your account , i don't know
