    Guys,

What this about BMI stopping flights from Manchester?

I am booked to go from there with BMI in April 29th to San Fran! Hope its still on !! Presume so! :)

Also is it still too soon to look for decent strip hotel for May 4th - 8th 2009 kind of time? Getting itchy feet! :D

    Rich

I would get onto bmi ASAP.

However I don't think you were actually flying with bmi as they didn't fly to SF. It may be a code share with another airline. I would check your reservation both hard copy and online to see which airlines it was with.

I've just had a look at their website and they have a flight via London. It's a bmi flight to London and United to SF. However there are some very strange routings for 29 April from MAN>SF including one which goes via ABERDEEN(!) and London!

Just had breakfast in the Clubhouse.....SFO flight delayed by an hour.....ho hum.

Have made up for it bigtime though.........had photo taken with Ruth Lorenzo and she chatted on the phone to the tadpoles.....and she's on our flight. What a really nice girl she is......even when being stalked by a maniac phone caller and photo taker!!!

That's a fairly eventful start to the trip! Safe flight and have a great time!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I know what you mean, that is the only time we actually want our flight to be delayed. Have a Bucks Fizz with a drop of Cointreau for me!!!
    Have a great trip
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

One question I do have, is that obviously all the rooms we have booked have had the deposits paid for by credit card, and further nights will have a cost 'secured' against them, however upon checking out can we pay cold hard cash?
any takers for this one lads 'n' lasses?

Yes you can pay cash. They should tell you what the balance to pay is and usually ask if you want to use the credit card used for the deposit. At that point you can opt to pay in cash or part cash, part CC.

    Venetian

Hi I am currently sitting in my "suite" at the Venetian we got a very good rate for 6 nights and this is our 5th before we go to Encore, I was not aware that under the deal we got that we are subject to a $75 per night charge if we check out early, if we were not subject to this charge we would have checked out early.

The room is very nice and the bed comftable and we have a half decent view (which we are not actually bothered about) but there are a few things that we dont like and maybe we are being fussy but the whole experience is beneath what we have come to expect at Mirage wheer we usually stay.

When we arrived check in was quick and we were in the room at about 7pm and although it appeard to have had a maid visit the room was not made up properly with the bed un made and had not been vacumend though the bathroom had been cleaned, each day after this the room was not cleaned properly we found tissues on the floor stuff to show it had not been hoovered, old pillow cases left on the floor and not changed etc and this was despite leaving a tip every day. The staff also seem not to be very friendly which again is not a real bother but somthing we have got used to at MM Grand and Wynn resorts but maybe that is due to cuts because of the financial problems that Sands Corp is having but that is not really my problem.

Our other main gripe is not the casino's fault but the patrons both in the rooms and of the casino seems to include huge amounts of 20 somthings who think that they are celebrties with no manners who shout a lot and stumble around drunk I am not talking 1 or 2 but stacks. I had one of these on her phone outside our room at 5am yesterday when I got up to tell her to shut up she just looked at me like I was mad.

On a good note the toiletries are great and we have had a good holiday but would never stay here or the Palazzo again even if it was free in fact I think that I would choose Excalibur over here for the overall experience.
Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time
