"Ways" not Way.......bus I would guess is the cheapest.

For example, it needs splitting into West Rim and South Rim, and for each one, the various options eg plane/bus, plane/heli, heli only, Hummer, bus etc.

Rental car too...may be the cheapest and most flexible...though some may not want to venture out on US roads...maybe a list of options to consider with a quick note of pros and cons (as viewed by the masses - for some driving yourself is a pro, for others it's a con, etc.)

Exactly.....eg we're picking up a compact eg Dodge Caliber, but for some a Sebring covertible or Dodge Durango is wanted.

Well this weekend was not a great weekend for Vegas air travel.
On Friday my Delta flight Gatwick to Cincinnati was 30 mins late so we had to clear immigration behind a flight from Paris. I've never seen so many people turned back for wrongly completed forms. Just about everyone missed their connections. I was lucky as I have status with Delta so got rebooked first nd they flew me up to Minniapolis and then connected on NW to Vegas -arriving about midnight (instead of the original 6pm). Other people on the same flight weren't so lucky and were rebooked for the next morning (and had to pay their own hotel).
Coming home on Sunday some of my friends were on Virgin -which was cancelled and had to stay an extra 2 nights. Virgin put them into TI and paid.

Ohhhh, it didn't like the word I just wrote!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    No complaints there then:j

I don't know - but the end of our trips I'm just in that ready to get home mode - if I was going to have to stay an extra 2 nights and didn't find out until I got to the airport I might find it a bit hard (it would be easier if I was being put up in a decent hotel - usually hear of people getting rooms at Red Roof or some such)...and I would totally stress about the cats in the cattery and would there be room for them to stay and would they get kicked out onto the street OMG?!

Plus I would stress about work...even though I know that it's out of my control...I would still stress. :)

    Guys,

What this about BMI stopping flights from Manchester?

I am booked to go from there with BMI in April 29th to San Fran! Hope its still on !! Presume so! :)

Also is it still too soon to look for decent strip hotel for May 4th - 8th 2009 kind of time? Getting itchy feet! :D

I suggest you give them a call and check-don't presume as if you re wrong you'll have poor choice of alternatives if the people who checked earlier grabbed the best times/seats.

Too early for the besrt May rates-but why not make cancelable reservations so you have some plan now -and then if something better comes along later you can switch at no cost.

We were all on long weekends-they had booked Thursday to Sunday to attend some shows and a birthday function so no end of trip burnout-but some pretty unimpressed bosses I imagine !!
TI's quite decent-I've never been put in a hellhole by an airline although Continental put me in a 2 star at Newark that I'd never have booked for myself once.
