I have been to Vegas about 5 times in the last few years but never been in June. The most I have always paid for a return flight is £345. When do the v early June flights get cheaper?0

We arrive around 1pm Vegas time (although by the time we get through customs etc I suspect it will be quite a bit later) and figured that perhaps one of the first things to do would be to go to the one of Premium outlet malls. We wondered which outlet centre to go to first or does it matter?
Also any tips to help with the enevitable jet lag that will, apparently, hit us about 3 days in?! (although right now I can't imagine I would want to go and have a snooze in VEGAS!!!) :T :j :T :j
Thanks in advance,
Had not realized it was quite so close!!! Will have to think about getting the cases down [3 between the two of us.] I see the kettle's already to be packed! Gotta have my cuppa in the morning.4 days at the Luxor, seems we booked it a long time ago and cannot remember what we get as freebies!! Then off to Florida to a villa for a month!! Need the rest!!?!! Being retired is not all its cracked up to be!
Now clinkclinkfizz you are going to behave on this aeroplane! First drink is on you!! [who will be the first to tell us the drinks are free]
See you all in 6 weeks and clink clink see you monday!!Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
MayThe bmi baggage allowance used to be 2 cases pp at up to 32kgs each and that's what we had in November, but I can no longer find that on their site and it's now 2 x 23kgs which is still good.
We normally have 2 fairly large cases going and also have a large holdall coming back. We have never needed the full 4 x 23kgs (or 32kgs as it was).
I agree re the jetlag going out. Stay up as long as possible with no naps. The latest we've managed was midnight, but it was only about 9pm last time. No matter what time we finally crash, we always wake really early, say around 5am. However the time we managed till midnight, I woke at 2.50am and couldn't get back to sleep. Gave up trying about about an hour and an half and got up and unpacked.
We decided after that, that whatever time we woke, even if it was 3am, we would get up and go down to gamble. Woke one time at 3am, gambled till 6am and went back to bed till 8am.
We prefer the LV Outlets south of the strip rather than the Premium Outlets near Downtown, although we do like both and will visit both if we are there more than a week.0 -

I'm right there with you. Last trip I think we made it until 9:30pm...and by 4:30 am I was up, showered, had a $20 on a couple of slots and was out the door in search of Christmas wrapping paper to wrap my family's gifts to post while we were there (cost $29 including $10 service fee at Bally's vs £95 posting from here!).
For the record, the strip at 4:30am in early November is not overrun with shops selling Christmas wrap.
Luckily we like the early mornings in the casinos - it's nice and quiet and for some reason a nice coffee and a slot machine seems like the perfect start to the day, no matter how early it is...plus once we wake up there is NO way to go back to sleep. At least not the first few mornings. There's too much gambling to be done.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I'm with the others. You will not want to plan something like this your first night - you will be tired, yes. But if you plan to go shopping the first evening, you will immediately throw your plan out the window as soon as you arrive. No way in this world would anyone (especially a first-timer) check into their Vegas hotel and go straight out to a shopping centre...you'll be so overwhelmed with things you want to see and do you'll likely forget about shopping for at least 24 hours.
Have a great trip and can't wait to hear about it when you get back!
Also - pebblesmax, are you the pebbles I have met - from OpenVegas, or are you a different pebbles?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
