MayIt depends one where your room is on the corridor and how busy the lifts are, our room was the very end and I had to go from my parents room on the 6th to ours on the 27th (different lifts) and it took over 20 mins there and backThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

MayAsk for one or two notches above your booking......too much and you wont get anything. If youre in Classic room, ask for Forum or Augustus Tower IMHO.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. November/DecemberEvening guys and gals,
Can anyone provide any advice or recommendations for visiting the Grand Canyon?
Ideally, I'd like to go by aeroplane and wrap the whole thing up by late afternoon to get back in good time for the evening!
It's not something I'm hugely interested in, but an experience I'd like to undertake while I'm there. The best I've seen so far is a 50 min flight for $107 through grandcanyonairlines.com. I had actually seen a better deal but with some pretty bad reviews on various websites.
So if anyone know's any companies/web sites they can recommend, then I'd appreciate it!
Many thanks.0 -
November/DecemberThats like saying it could take you an hour from your room to the strip. (if you stopped off at every floor, got out, had a walk around then got back in the lift , walked down to the pool, got the monorail to Hilton and back, then walked from the mono stop to the strip);)
To be fair it was very busy and the elevator system works well but that is how long it takes I think 10-15 mins from room to Strip is about the norm and I know the property very well stayed there about 6 times I think. Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -

for $91 plus fees. Dunno what its like.....Scenic usually OK.
Remember the shorties and the helis are going to be West Rim, rather than the more dramatic South Rim.......any West Rimmers here able to voice opinion as to how good it is?illegitimi non carborundum0 -

We are starting a touring holiday next year with 4 nights in LV and its our first time there.
We've been told that the hotels we are staying in, in LV and LA, have valet parking. We've never used valet parking before, how does this work?
DH is concerned about the safety aspect of parking in public parking areas and thinks that valet parking (free, I think in LV but expensive in LA) might be safer (we will have DD with us). And what would be an appropriate tip?
i use the Valet if it closer to my room , or the free self park ( thats pretty much all casinos) if that is best option. Valet is the probably the most coveted jobs on the strip , so these guys are not going to act irresponsibly.
Valet is technically free , but it's customary to give a tip . like others have said $2-$3 is fine.Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Yes, we booked with viator, (trip was 21 October, seems like ages ago!!!) 45 minute heli trip, land, have picnic, take photos, and fly back with a tour down the strip. They also pick you up in a limo. We really enjoyed it, never been in a helicopter or been to GC, so didn't think it was rubbish, but will certainly want to visit south rim next trip to see the difference. (I think I mentioned this before, sorry for the repeat)
Have a great trip, you will enjoy it.:j0
