Are there any other vegas forums out there, Open Vegas really is the pits now!!!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I was thinking the same - it seems to have slowed down dramatically, possibly down to the moderator's attitude?

www.whatbrianthinksaboutlasvegas.com's forum is really good with a lot of former Open Vegas members...to date I haven't made the jump there (lazy, mainly) but maybe now is the time.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

When things went tits up at openvegas people seemed to split into 2. Whatbrianthinks was one and this one was started by blondie- I would note that the whatbrian and blondies both seemed to have become a lot slower in traffic and posts in the last 3/4 weeks

me and pebbles use www.VegasMessageboard.com which is busy (lots of short threads) but its 'ok' :)

got little to compare it with tho! it's certainly more of an american than english base

(incidently, I assume it's pebbles... same name as here but without the 'max' and from the uk) :D

whatbrianthinks was around quite awhile before things got really bad though and a lot of people had jumped ship quite some time ago....I keep forgetting to bookmark Blonde's board so will do so this time before I lose it again.

    Hi all -

I've done the drawing for the voucher books and the results were as follows:

    Froggitt - LVA POV
    Leigh-Anne - ACG
craigbroadman - miscellanous other vouchers we picked up while we were there.

If you could all PM me your addresses I will get the vouchers posted tomorrow.

    Hope everyone enjoys!

    Received with many thanks :-)
  • Hello everyone :D I daren't come on here anymore now I can't go back to vegas for a while.

Just to let you know that I have just booked 3 nights at Planet Hollywood for my MIL for £136, which I thought was very reasonable. 25-28 Nov so Tue, Wed and Thurs. Booked through Alpharooms, via quidco (7% so £9.50 or so back from there too).

Anyone had any experience of whether the $20 trick works at PH?

Also - MIL wants to see Bette Midler whilst she is there - any ideas for the best place to buy tickets?

This may be relevant ( or not)

If anyone has booked\was planning to fly from MAN to LAS with bmi after Easter 09 then you've missed the boat :rolleyes:plane

    MAN-LAS bmi axed

They've also axed the MAN-ORD flight from Jan 15th 09 if anyone had connections.

I only got the email from Hurrahs yesterday which listed all her new dates. When you buy it takes you into Ticketmaster.com

So we booked our tickets for Sunday 15th March.

    Thanks

I just ordered online, got a ticket 5 rows from front in May. Strange they wouldnt sell a ticket when I went to the box office in person though.
