ebookers have some decent cheap Vegas hotel deals thanks to a free night offer - very limited dates, but if you're there at the right time and not overly fussy then the likes of two nights at Binions for £8.97 per night + taxes might sound tempting.

How about these, saw them & am tempted to buy a set http://www.gadgetduck.com/goods/kneedefender.html

Most airlines have banned them now.
It's not like only the person in front of you's seat reclines. I have the attitude that you recline with courtesy but if I encounter the type of bad manners Frogett is implying he displays-I just leave it to the FA to sort out after I've summoned them-funnily enough they never side with the seat pusher.

My pet peeve isn't recliners-it's the people who sit in your seat and then give you dirty looks when you decline to take their sub-standard one instead and expect them to sit in their own seat.

So did I......you gonna call them up and see if they will upgrade the booking or am I? :)

Hey FroggittSorry its taken so long to reply to this, been busy lately!Anyway I got an e-mail back from Caesars Palace, and they said in order to take advantage of the offer, I would need to cancel and re-book : (I am just going to try the 50$ trick at check in now, is it worth actually asking for one of these new rooms or just ask them for what they can do (wink wink)Also I was reading on here that Harrahs can be a bit funny if you book more than the maximum time allowed per deal (longer than 7 days). I am staying for nine and made two separate bookings, I had though of saying, if asked, that I had just decided to stay an extra couple of nights. Is it worth e-mailing them now and asking them to merge the bookings together or to wait until I get there?6 weeks to go now!

  • Anyone got any advice on booking Grand Canyon when we are in Vegas??

E.g. Where to book? If it works out cheaper or more expensive than booking before? Any coupon books? Any advice will be much appreciated?

P.S. We are hoping to do a champagne picnic.

I recline my seat as usually the person in front ome does if the seat reclines then it is fair to do it though I ensure I am creful how I recline and make sure I am upright during the meal. Once when we were flying back fron NY the guy behind my sister stuck hs knees in to her seat so she could not recline he was just a bully and woudl not even acknolwedge her when she asked him to get his knees out of her back, I was sitting accross the aisle and he did not know I was with her I had a quiet word pointing out that his seat was reclined why did he think that he had the right to stop her doing the same and he saw my point of view.

I wont fly Virgin they are possiably the worst company I have flown across the atlantic with in economy I would rather change and fly United than fly direct with Virgin.

I read a lot of trip reports on many other sites and a lot of the time people report how they get comped rooms or at least reduced deals (email promos and mail shots) based on their previous play in various players club card schemes.

My question is - do they actually offer the deals to all players or is it only the american citizens who get the deals. Has anyone here got promos or deals emailed or posted to them based on previous play?

Im sorry but reclining is just as bad manners as pushing.

And as the recliner did it first, I feel fully justified.

You dont want to be accidentally pushed.....dont recline.

Book before you go or you might be out of luck and not be able to get on a trip, be wary of anything that lands in the Canyon it’s the Grand Canyon West which is not the Grand Canyon National Park totally different areas and in scenery. The Grand Canyon NP (South Rim or North Rim) is where you want to go not the West Rim, going to the wset rim is a bit like thinking that you have been to London when in fact you have only been to Croydon.

They should just make the seats non reclinable IMO.

Couple of !!!!!! in front of us on the way back had both there seats reclined fully from the second they sat down all the way home.

Absolute ignorant gits both of them. If it was you on the way back to heathrow via BA in the first row of the 2 seats at the back on the left on 17th October then you are a bunch of !!!!!!. Naturally I tried to make her journey as uncomfortable as possible but apart from a few glances over her shoulder she just didn't budge. I was hoping she would have said something but no. Its not easy to get your knees away from the back of the seat in front when they are fully reclined. I can't help shifting my position and jamming my knees into it every now and again.

The thing is it means that you have to recline fully too, making you just as ignorant as the person in front.
