ESTA is free and until jan 09 is a voluntary scheme i belive.
http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/id_visa/esta/esta_faq.xml use this link then on the right there is an option to apply for authorisation.
its no hassle, no fee involved either, but make a note of your reference number at the end as you dont get it emailed to you and you will need it to amend your account once you add flight/hotel details.
As mentioned, its free at the moment but they may plan to charge for it in the future0 -
AprilArghh ! This new legislation crap thats going on just now has just hit our party of 5 for an extra $250 all in !
If you want to visit the US now, its $49.99 per person, its a new visa thing you have to apply for. I cant remember if its every time you visit or if its a lifetime thing, but $50 each to visit the US is nothing but a rip off.
Remember and factor this in when you budget your holiday.
  . who or what website has charged you $49.99 and for what !!!
i have to again say please read the guide on page 1. as there were/are all the links you need about ESTA there .
i did ours a few weeks back it took 5 mins , had immediate approval and was at no point asked to pay money .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
AugustI think there's been a little mishap in what we were being charged for, all sorted now thanks to your advice. My sister was taking care of this side of things so it looks like all is ok now after passing on the info.0

AugustSo..if im going to New York in December 08..do I need to do this or use the onboard Visa Waiver forms?
Also, once I fill this in do I then have to revisit the update section everytime I plan a new trip to USA?

Well, the reason I booked now was that I was going to Vancouver first and globespan are the only budget airline left that goes there so I figured that their seats would fill up fast. If there are plenty of flights going out to Vegas from where you are you may have a better chance of waiting till the sales ? Were they lower than £421.50 last year ?0 -

You dont need a ticket agency, buy them direct from UNLV (thomas and mack centre is part of it) http://unlvtickets.com/eventInfo/spe/24/2008-pbr-world-finals/ You can print at home, i have done so a couple of times for events there, or i am sure they will do ".will call" as well (pick up on the night)0
