Apologies.....photome is correct.....they keep your matchplay voucher. You can still get free money, but not as much.
As Ive just been doing the gardening and Im knackered, so cant figure out how to guarantee a win.
So, chuck $50 on each of black and red, and the $50 machplay on red. Also cover yourself with a $1 chip on each of the zeros (arent the coloured chips one dollars???).
So, all things being equal, 3 of the 6 days, your matchplay will lose, and 3 of the 6 days your matchplay will win. Thats $150, minus 12 bucks on the zeroes. If a zero comes in once, thats $135 minus the 12 bucks. Just less than 50% return.
IMHO, stuff it in the slots which generally give a 90% plus return.
Sorry but you cant do that either. The minimum table stake will be at least $10 which means there would have to be at least $10 splitting the zeros.
The zeros are an inside bet and the red/black are outside bets, so there ahs to be a minimum of $10 on each....or poss $15 or $20 as it is the venetian.
I play roullette a lot in Vegas and IMO, you would be just as well to play the matchplay on red or black..a $50 bet matched so that you either win $150 or lose $50 failing that I would take the slot play.0 -
AugustThe best and one of the few ways to make a good bit of money is BlackJack, but only if you play single deck and soft 17.
Make sure you know the rules. But the house edge is only about 1%.
What i do (and last time i was there i made $700) is to start low. Remember how many picture cards have come out of the pack. If say 10 picture cards have come out then bet low, if after a few games 2 have come out then raise your bets.
The best thing to do is as follows:
Start with say $50, then make $100. Save $50 and play with only the fifty you have. Then do the same with $100, $200 etc. That way you always walk away up. But remember, the more risk you take the higher the return.
I always bet in $50's unless a load of pictures have come out then i might only bet $20's.
Dont be afriad to split your bet or double down - this is where you can really make your money.
However, the single biggest tip i can offer is to walk away when you are up.
(If anyone needs any tips just ask - i love the game and have spent hundreds of hours playing it and over the years have made thousands of dollars)0 -
However, you may be *politely* asked to leave if they think you are counting cards. Remember theres a camera on every table, and the man on the camera can count cards too and see your bet hi/bet lo strategy.illegitimi non carborundum0

Can anyone recommend this or similar from this or other airline? Anyone got any 2-4-1 or similar coupons for this or similar?illegitimi non carborundum0 -
Also, for those people that want a really cheap GC tour, or dont have much time in Vegas

yes its West Rim, but its a plane not a bus, its only three hours, you can say youve flown over/into the GC, and its only 90 bucks.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

That is not counting cards. It is merely a strategy. Counting cards is taking account of every card which is dealt and the adding or taking away accordingly.
My strategy is not the high/lo strategy at all. That entails counting the cards as i said above and then betting for example $100 in one hand and the $20 in the next.
Yes i can count cards but being as though it is extremely difficult to do on your own i dont do it.
The strategy i use now is no more 'cheating' than playing roulette and betting red twice out of every three with one high stake to one low. Its simply making the most of what you know.
And, even if i was counting cards its not illegal.0 -
Not illegal, but they have the right to eject you for doing it.
Not the same as roulette, as you know more about the cards left than you do about the next spin.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

Look Frog im not going to get in an argument over this.
I appreciate you feel this is your thread and it may be that i have stolen a little bit of your thunder buts lets not get all handbags over it. If it makes your ego feel that tiny bit more massaged ill PM you any future posts i have for this thread. That way you can publish them as your own.0 -
Marcherm...sturll? Seriously. Chill. Froggit's only expressing an opinion which differs from yours - something you seem to have some level of difficulty with.
Differing opinions are what makes this thread great - if we all agreed, it would have died ages ago.
Please can you stop getting your back up over every post that may present an alternative picture to what you may present yourself?
Not trying to be nasty, but it really does seem that you do tend to get snarky when anyone says anything which gives an opposing view to yours. This is a friendly little thread and always has been and I think we'd all really like to keep it that way.
Thanks very much.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
