Oh no its not........
Say six nights.......thats $300. Just back red and black with a buck or two on the zeroes to convert into $280 cash.
This is the deal of the decade......I booked the previous Venetian deal that looked really good.....this is stonkingly good.

So, you put the $50 "matchplay coupon" on red, along with $50 out of your pocket, and you also put $100 on black. To make the maths easy, you also put $5 on zero and double zero. Total cash outlay, $160.
If red comes up, you win $100, plus your stake back, making $200....a profit of $40.
If black comes up, you win $100, plus your stake back, making $200.....a profit of $40.
If a zero or double zero comes up, you win $175, plus your stake back, making $180.....a profit of $20.
However, in six days, youre unlikely to hit a zero or double zero, so your return would be $40 times 6 = $240 "almost guaranteed" return for your matchplay coupons.
Apparently the best return for a matchplay coupon is Baccarat with something like a 98% return, but I dont think that is guaranteed, like it would be on a roulette wheel.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

Me neither - I would have just looked at it as $50 less a day I would spend out of my own pocket on slots...which (to me) would still have been an awesome deal...but Froggit's way seems to be even better.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
SeptemberI
Agree with your view on the quality of Chinese restaurants... we tried Pearl this year in the MGM and it was excellent ....but devoid of customers!
We tried this out last year and thought it was brilliant. We may go again this year too. Would highly recommend it.I agree...almost wish I hadn't posted the one with the $50 food credit now as I think that one was non-refundable so anyone who booked that one, I am sorry...would never have thought something like this one would come up.
Don't be. Given the choice, I'd probably still pick this food credit over the match play credit. The drinks are for Lava only so we'd probably not bother anyways.....Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
MarchWell well, you learn something new every day.
I own a 300C and just went outside to take this picture, sorry about the quality, it's raining and I did it on my phone. Never noticed it before, you can quite clearly see the arrow pointing to the left next to the petrol pump.
This may very well be the only feature your 300 and our Hyundai Getz share, but went to get petrol just now in anticipation of the drive to Gatwick next Saturday and lo and behold...the arrow is there...helpful as even on my own car I have a hard time remembering. To be fair we've had it a year and filled it up maybe 15 times, so...
Thanks iltisman - I never, ever noticed that and as I was never looking for it I probably never would have.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

So in your example if red came up you would only get $150 back, meaning a $10 loss as in my previous example, so your return could just as easily be -$60. It could also be $240 but only if your non matchplay bet comes in, and you can find a table with a $10 minimum in the Venetian. If the minimum is $15 or $20 the odds are even worse0 -

Please read my example as Froggit has got it wrong, you dont get the matchplay stake back0 -
Apologies.....photome is correct.....they keep your matchplay voucher. You can still get free money, but not as much.
As Ive just been doing the gardening and Im knackered, so cant figure out how to guarantee a win.
So, chuck $50 on each of black and red, and the $50 machplay on red. Also cover yourself with a $1 chip on each of the zeros (arent the coloured chips one dollars???).
So, all things being equal, 3 of the 6 days, your matchplay will lose, and 3 of the 6 days your matchplay will win. Thats $150, minus 12 bucks on the zeroes. If a zero comes in once, thats $135 minus the 12 bucks. Just less than 50% return.
IMHO, stuff it in the slots which generally give a 90% plus return.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
Or,find someone else with a matchplay voucher, you cover red and 0 with the matchplay and $50, he covers black and 00 similarly, and you split the proceeds for a guaranteed just less than 50% payout.illegitimi non carborundum0
