MarchMy birthday is in July:eek:
I would love to see Las Vegas but I think the weather would send OH into shock. I thought most people stayed indoors when visiting vegas?
Personally, we wouldn't do it - but perhaps you can convince your OH that it's your birthday and what you want to do and use that angle? It seems like plent of others think it's fine so perhaps we're in the minority
We're inside a lot, but we spend a lot of time moving around and just find that some of the normal things we do are really not great in that kind of heat...the walk from Bally's to Ellis Island was horrendous for us in June...between the heat and the exhaust fumes it was really not nice.
And I have to ask - your signature...reference to the original song or Priscilla, the musical? If the latter, saw it in Sydney and thought it was brilliant.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

The casino area is really cool now, went in there last week and hardly recognised the place. They have a lounge called Flight that is out of this world. .....That was obviously before i realised how pointless flying club was (and i have 150k miles)
cant agree with that. ive used my miles that ive accrued on business trips over the last year to get over £5000 worth of flight to LA next year for £1330 + miles
If you've got 150k's worth of miles i cant see how you think they're pointless0 -

First time in Vegas, 9 days in mid August.
Flew Canadian Airways via Vancouver (returned via Toronto ).Can highly recommend Plenty of leg room and attentive cabin staff.
Stayed at Bally's. North tower. $25 trick worked just fine. (thanks for that one everybody). Again highly recommend.
All in all a fabulous trip and thanks again to all those who contribute to this thread, your hints, tips and recommendations were truly priceless.:TMOTTO: F.E.A.R.....F!!K EVERYTHING AND RUN:eek:0 -

Evening all - great thread!
I have been thinking about a trip to Vegas to celebrate my 40th in 18 months or so. My son wants to come with us and will be just 19. We know he won't be able to drink alcohol but will he be barred from the Casino's as well?
