MarchMercilessKiller - welcome back! I have to admit I didn't keep up with the blog as I meant to (stupid work and home committments) but I do plan to go back to it where i left off!
And quick question for those who have driven to the GC south rim - do you recall if there were many restaurants along the way between Hoover Dam and Kingman? I'm struggling to find much along 93 and we will stop in Boulder City for breakfast unless I'm sure there will be options on the AZ side - just would prefer to get across the Dam as early as possible if we can. Mapquest used to be good about showing restauarants along a route but either there aren't many, or it's not working.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Ferf, the first place I remember with any restaurants was Kingman. We did set off horribly early though, and Kingman was a good time to stop for breakfast. We arrived there about 9am.0 -

One problem we encountered was queueing up to get into nightclubs (as none of us have had breast implants). One night was completely ruined by standing in line for 2 hours before we lost the will to live and went home (it was the labour day holiday - equivalent to our bank holiday i think). Does anybody have any experience of how to get on vip lists/jump the line when going clubbing?
Any help muchos appreciated
easiest thing to do is try and call the club in advance and get on the guest list.
Im here now and went out last night and managed to get into Tryst ( the wynn ) as we called as soon as we landed.
If that does not work, the easiest thing is not to say that you are in a big group, they generally dont like that, or get chatting to some girls and say your with them. They get into all clubs for free so it should not be any skin of there nose!
Im not a major gambler, so may be wrong, but I think of your playing big, the casino's often give you a free table in these clubs. I know whenever I have been invited to a table in a club ( normally because I am with 10+ Virgin Atlantic girls ) these blokes have been playing poker all day ? and get loads of free booze ?
