Even better than the Strat for July is the current Gold Coast deal. 16th and 17th July $22 on a pricematch with hotels.com (US version not UK) On the same deal (also owned by Boyd) for the same dates Orleans for $40.
Both hotels have a free shuttle to the Strip and I found nicer and less crowded than the DeuceI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

i think you are right regarding virgins flights to las vegas now just wish another company would come in and give them some competition it does seem a regular occurence to run out of drink to but im sure that dosnt happen up stairs in first class
I've seen Virgin claim to run out of booze on the Vegas flights as a ploy to stop serving a large stag group. Seemed to be easier to stop serving the whole of economy than get into conflict with a group.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

MayThey often run out of drink on the return leg to UK, as they dont re-stock in Vegas, so if they have over used the outward allowances, wont be enough for the return0

MayReading what everybody is now saying about Virgin.
Virgin is one of Britains best loved companies, its a shame that we could not get passed the management and let its charismatic boss know how people feel.
I do agree its time for another company to come in, and do a 'Virgin' the fleet and the way they now handle customers is all a bit tired.

Marchwhat's some good fast food shops(not mcdonalds but like them)thats in the malls or on the strip.
how much is a taxi up and down the strip from top to bottom?
I agree with Duchy about In and Out Burger...best fast food burgers ever (IMHO)...though there isn't one on the strip or in any of the malls that I can think of. THere is one on Tropicana toward The Orleans though. You must read about the secret menu though - otherwise you'll probably be disappointed in the selection.

One day I will try Fatburger to see how it compares.we almost tried it in March - walking to MGM, saw Fatburger on the way but decided not to.
As for other fast food - there is a Subway and Burger King (along with a few others - I think mexican and pizza) at O'Shea's.
There's also a food court at the Showcase Mall - where the M&M store is - they have a lot of fast food places.
As for the taxi question, if you mean to start at one end (Stratosphere or Mandalay Bay, I assume), drive to the other, then turn around and drive back to your origin I would think it's going to be pretty expensive. Most taxi drivers will avoid the strip when possible in getting from hotel to hotel due to the traffic, they go the back roads most times - the traffic on the strip will increase the fare due to the waiting time. I would think that for the time you will spend at a standstill it might be better to consider the Deuce bus if you want to see the strip this way. Or hire a limo and do it in style.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Hi,
How come I can get cheaper fares via ThomasCook than direct with the airlines? Is there any catch here?
Thanks.0
