check out the Thomas cook price checks i do most mondays . i think the lowest ever seen was £149 but usually £250 ( checking monday to fly wednesday) before june and after early sept is achievable ( provided no major events ...e.g.a ricky hatton fight ) but it depends on the dates .
Is the correct site flythomascook, as it is saying there are no flights and I have tried every day of the week. Is it just a basic flight search please? Thanks.0 -
November/DecemberThomas Cook only fly to Vegas on Sundays and Wednesdays. If you go to the Mytravel site, they will search for the best date +or- your original search. You are searching the Thomascook website, but I personally have found Mytravel to be a better site to use.
Could be due to familiarity, so do your own thing. Just remember to post any good deals here.0 -

Whatever you decide, have fun in Vegas!
1. TCX baggage allowance is pants. (15kg free - £50 for and extra 5kg each) We have 2 X 23 kg with USAirways. The flights have cost us £429 each which I think is not bad.
2. We had definite dates in mind.
3. The difference between what we would have to pay excess negated the chance of waiting. (I hope that makes sense. We go to Vegas regularly. The shopping is awesome. If we did a Thomas Cook/ Mytravel flight it is almost guaranteed we will have excess on the way back.
wow a spreadsheet , i tried to do that but don't have enough patience or skill on the free word software to get it going. i would be very intrested if you could send me that pebblesmax.
your right about what you say , i would only consider them as a last minute type thing if the price was right. Dublin for a long weekend with 15kg might be okay , but you cannot bring any worthwhile shopping back with that pathetic allowance . it is even worse when you compare it to most Trans atlantic airlines allowance of 2 bags @23kg per person .
they also only fly weekends in the summer and then some of these flights stop to pick people up at places like Glasgow , which means your probably better off with indirect with a quality airline .Is the Venetian alot better than Luxor. Trying to decide between Venetian suite and upgraded Player Suite at Luxor!!
Thanks
The Venetian is most definatly a step ( or 2 !) above the The Luxor taken as a whole . however a Players suite at the Luxor might be a nicer room than a standard Venetian room ( all Venetian rooms are described as suites, the standard has a sunken living area rather than a seperate room) . looking at the floorplan of a Player Deluxe room , it does not look that spectacular or large , but has nice things inside . personally i would be heading for the Venetian .

Opinions please……..
I’m at the final stages of booking my flights with Virgin but have 2 options and would welcome your opinions
Option 1:
LGW-LAS Economy on a Sunday, Sun-Weds in Vegas then drive to LA, stay there Thurs-Sat drive back to Vegas then fly LAS-LGW Premium Economy on Sunday
Option 2: is £30 more
LGW-LAS Economy on a Sunday, Sun-Thurs in Vegas then drive to LA, stay there Fri-Sun and fly back LAX-LHR Premium Economy on Sunday
So is it worth paying an extra £30 to fly back from LAX (new premium economy seats) and not have to drive back to Vegas (petrol costs etc) but would have to get from Heathrow to Gatwick via train
What do you think?0 -
Only my opinion of course , but I would do the second option. Firstly driving to LA and back again seems to me to be a bit of a hassle and a rush when you've only got a week and secondly I would rather have an extra day in LV especially if you're planning on going to the GC.
2 nights in LA was enough for us last year. We took a tour so we saw all the places we wanted to see and I wouldn't be that bothered about going back there. Actually I would spend the whole week in LV and leave LA until the next holiday.
Could you not fly to LA instead of drive? I don't know much about it , but I thought you could get cheap internal flights and it would give you more timeI'm sure someone will come along to advise.
Same old same old since 20080 -
Thomas,
Following on from what Sheel has said, we're flying between LA and Vegas with American Airlines, costing us $174.00, flight takes 1 hour 12 minutes. Saves the hassle of driving that distance and gives us that extra time in LA.

PS Trets, have a great time.0 -

And its is a better position mid-strip, rather than South Strip.
And the Palazzo sounds even better.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
IVE BOOKED!
Flying out 27th Sept returning here 2nc October, so I get 4 full nights in Vegas (just what I wanted)
I ended up paying £635 for DIRECT FLIGHTS from gatwick with Virgin, and 4 nights in the Stratosphere Hotel.(Booked with Last min.com)
I wanted to book everything seperate but it ended up being MORE exspensive!
Did I get a good deal?0 -
MayI'll give you my take on the show in just over 2 weeks. we used the half price link posted a while back for tickets .
tomorrow will be my last day before the off , so anyone who feels like posting up any worthwhile offers while i'm taking advantage of one .....thanks in advance . :Tis that the link on TravelZoo (it's the one I originally found, before considering the VIP seating stuff)
Have a good nose at the VIP stuff, and take some piccies for me(not really
)

Is the booking you have with Last Min one that can't be changed? I'm guessing it is. My only concern is that the Stratosphere is at one end of the Strip and you may spend a lot of time/money either getting taxis, waiting for the Duece bus or having a fairly long walk to mid-strip.
I can't comment on your flight prices. We went just after Easter but went indirect from Manchester and paid £700 including all charges for the two of us. (The slight hassle of this was worth the savings to us. As you are only there for 4 days I agree that direct flights are the best.)
