STS here too, I'm trying to get back into my 'old habits', have been getting weighed during the week like I used to and I've been 4LB up all week, so STS is fine by me.
Giving myself a bit of a kick start this week and putting myself on the same eating plan when I put on 3 stone from stopping smoking, this weight has never come back on and was at my biggest.
Only exception is I will be adding berries to this week's food. So, no bread, rice, pasta (a couple of extra spuds had been creeping back on my plate), nothing that grows under the ground and peas and sweetcorn are off the list, along with sugar. No booze or caffeine. Apart from a little cheese no dairy (not a dairy lover so it is easier for me).
Chilli tonight, with a big pile of slaw and green shoots. I will make some flourless egg muffins for lunches and Mr pepper was sent for more charcoal for the BBQ, so an extra piece of turkey will be cooked for salads for lunches. BBQs are not a problem for me as I only eat fish, turkey and chicken (no bones, I'm not a meat lover), so a couple of BBQ teas are on the cards.
Just have to stick to it now,, Christmas holiday is booked to have an incentive.
Have a good week all, well done for braving the scales, good or bad.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

Weighed myself this morning.
14 stones 5.
The heaviest I've ever been.
I've made some very dodgy decisions this year regarding men and finances and now it seems about eating too.5 -

Apologies for the radio silence, and congrats to you all for persevering.
I’m currently on holiday, so not able to weigh myself, but having seen the photo my partner took of me today, has really brought it home how much I need to get on top of my perimenopausal weight gain 😭.
This holiday will involve a lot of walking, so if I combine that with conscious food choices and the expected very limited alcohol intake, I’m hoping not to put anything on while I am away 🙏I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pension, Debt Free Wanabee, and Over 50 Money Saving boards. Checking in for the first time this quarter! STS please @Brambling , I've been all over the place tbh. Feeling miserable due to work stuff and personal stuff, and the awful weather hasn't helped!
I have a wedding and a holiday at the end of September, so my aim is to have lost a bit by then.
Plus side my running is improving. I'm doing a 5k in August so I'm keeping going. I've lost motivation to do daily yoga, so I'm not going to force myself until I'm 'in the mood' again.

Hi, I'm just starting a virtually carb free diet, hoping to get into ketosis. I need to lose 1.5 stones. The foods I can eat on this are very limited and I'm so hungry! Has anyone tried this? Any advice?

I cutout all bread, (or anything containing flour), rice, pasta and sugar, and any veg that grows underground, also bananas and oranges, no smoothies or 'health' drinks, or breakfast cereal. Some would also add alcohol, caffeine and milk to that.
Tea / evening meal, I cook things like a chicken breast marinaded (chilli, paprika, cumin and turmeric) with a good olive oil, fresh lemon juice, mushrooms, peppers, onions and asparagus with this, shoving it all on a tray and oven baking is quick, with a green salad and even make my own slaw, minus the carrot. Even better on the BBQ
Eggs, bacon, tomato or a Greek yogurt with berries for breakfast. Egg muffins you can eat anytime of the day. You could even go to your local India and have tandoori chicken or meat with salad.
I've done many diets over the years and cutting out too much does not help, unless you are in the finals of Mr / Miss Universe.
