I'm requesting assistance with a defence for a PCN issued to me by DCBL, I've read all of the posts on here as far and assume you need to see the PCN and the front page of the claim form (attached)

The claiment is CP Plus ltd, the PCN stated reason was 'unauthorised parking'

Response to original PCN:
  1. You have not informed me what I've done wrong, 'unauthorised parking' is not sufficiently descriptive, I can only assume it's because I've gone over a white line.
  2.  I had come to B&Q to collect 2 very oversized items (I have a receipt if I need to show in court)
    1. The spaces are too small to assure the free and unobstructed exit and entry on the vehicle should an adjacent space be occupied
    2. To be able to load the oversized goods which required me to open doors on near and offside I needed sufficient room either side of the vehicle, thus requiring me to temporarily occupy the white line.

While I appreciate that some control and governance is required to manage a carpark of this size, I do not think that fining a customer that's spending hard-earned money in the very retail establishments you're trying to protect is a good customer policy.

Please cancel this notice with immediate effect and avoid wasting both our time and the busy courts time.

My intention is to use the defense in the link below and update paragraph 3 with version of the above I sent when I contested the ticket, I want to know if all of the defense is appropiate or required, and indeed if there's any salient points I'm missing from the defense, poor signage for example?

Disappointing to see that you have left your Claim Number and MCOL password clearly visible.
I wonder what damage can be done with that information?

With a Claim Issue Date of 21st June, you have until Wednesday 10th July to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 24th July 2024 to file your Defence.
That's almost four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

    Its defence, UK English

That picture wants removing, it shows both the claim reference and the password on the top and bottom right, plus the QR code on the left side too

C P Plus , Group Nexus are the claimant, via DCB Legal, issue date is 21 june, for £262 , for unauthorised parking

Post a redacted picture of the full POC on the left, with that VRM redacted, the picture above is cut-off there

That is because your status says Newbie instead of Forumite, so you need to read the warning banner by MSE Admins at the top of the forum, then use the report button on your first post, had you read that warning then you wouldn't be in this mess so quickly

Your status might change in a week or two, to Forumite, especially after a few posts
