CofG it sounds like you have had a tough week, you have such a big heart but remember to take a little time for yourself when you can.
So today was a 100 mile round trip to the big city in DHs van to collect DS2 and all his belongings as he has to be out of his flat today and doesn't get the keys for his new place until Monday. We managed to get parked nearby but I made 12 trips up and down 3 steep flights of stairs with bags and boxes - yes I was counting!
Came home to make two lasagnes, one veggie and one meat, have done some laundry for DS which is over the airer as its drizzling, and have tidied the kitchen. Might treat myself to a glass of wine.
Two sleeps before I am back to the paid stuff. Dreading it but I need to find a way of coping with it all a bit better, I don't have any other options.5 -
Woo we did it! Thanks to all of you for encouraging and donating, Cathy and I made the distance in lovely conditions with the sea just a little choppy at the end. My current total is £1035 for the BHF. I'm on the left of the photo, in glasses.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -
Morning all. Well done Narco.
Sunny here today so yesterday's bedding can go on the line. I'll be walking Poppet and pottering this morning and making cakes this afternoon. Will also need to prep for DGD2 arriving this evening. Both DGDs will be here tomorrow.
So far I've only watered indoors plants, need to do the garden.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.4 -

Morning all xx
Well done Narc0 👏👏
Went to bed late (for me) as I stayed up to finish reading my book. Then I couldn't get to sleep....because my feet were freezing?? Then I woke up reeeaally early. I was ready to get up for a brew at 5.15am. On a Sunday? Not happening. I hung on til 7am and I'm up, made my bed, stood the airer outside in the sun, got weighed and made a brew.
Final weigh in of this quarter and I'm -1.5 lbs for the week. That's a stone off this quarter, and two and a half stones off since January. Woot. Woot. My target for June 30th was to have three stones off...but I'm celebrating my loss, not dwelling on my failure. Progress not perfection 😊
I'm aiming to lose another stone in the next quarter...with the help of @Brambling 's thread, ...... and the support of you guys, of course. 💪
Brew 2 and breakfast next.
Love to all

Two lovely things to wake up to! Narcos swimming achievement and lovely pic and Rounds fantastic progress with the weight loss. Well done both.
The sun is shining so the washing is out, but it's supposed to rain at 10am! We were going to our local Forestry England place for a walk while DS is here, but that may be weather dependent.
My poor Mum is having a lot of problems with her knee but the NHS won't put her on the list for a new one for at least 6 months. She was told by the consultant to take paracetamol and basically get on with it. It's really affecting her mental health, despite being 83 she was really active up to a year ago. I was dreaming about her last night, I need to try and spend some time with her, I might take her out somewhere next weekend.
Have a good Sunday all x5 -
Good morning 😁
Well done Narc0 a great achievement 👏
Well done to Round aswell - I wish I had your willpower! I think all your poundage is being flung my way 😭😂
DH & DS have successfully climbed & descended Snowden overnight. I woke up a few times in the night to check my phone for progress.
I have had a cuppa & just waiting for my watch to charge up before I start moving (or else it doesn't count, right?)
I didn't get to the allotment yesterday after all. I did a few jobs around the house, and washed some cot sheets & a baby chair cover for DD2. I am going to check the weather & make a list accordingly, and have some breakfast.
Have a good Sunday all x5 -
It is still raining here, so up, showered, fed cats again, they are all in, jeans on, been in shorts for days now, feels odd.Cleaned showerTopped up shampoo and conditioner for very large on offer bottles.OH has whatsapped, it seems he has rain in North France as well, and he didn't take his wet weather biking gear. They are off to see war graves and an exhibition today, then back to the farmhouse for the football.I'm going to do odd jobs around the place none of which should take any time, when the rain clears (fingers crossed) I'll go walking.Ment to be going to a BBQ later on, ...............Round well done, you are doing so well, I just canot get my head around it this year, and I do need to shift the weight I put on over the winter, I think I am wired wrongly, I loose the weight, then stick it all back on, and repeat, and so on.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Well done round, that's a wonderful weight loss.
Narco well done too, what a great achievement 👍
GI I think round's weight loss as gone via me to you...lol
I got some gorgeous vintage type dresses delivered yesterday - just a wee bit too fitted but otherwise a lovely fit. But I'm going to try and kick start myself into losing that weight I have put on since the move. I really need to lose it..especially as I'm noticing my knees are hurting more than normal.
So jealous of you with sun, it's damp and dreary here..I've had to hang washing up to dry in the house like it was winter 😔😭Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
