Very hot here. We had a good time with friends visiting from Mon pm (they enjoyed my cake) until this morning. Yesterday we went to the show we'd booked with them and although we had no major travel issues, it made me think harder about the rather complicated plans Mr N and I had made for a show next week (I'd travel up from Dorset following sil's kind offer to care for Mum for the afternoon/evening; Mr N would meet me at the theatre then we'd travel together to Dorset - and that's just the easy part). So this morning I cancelled it and got a credit note. Then cried. I'm too close to tears most of the time at the moment and it's annoying.
- did one load washing
- Mr N put 2nd load on comprising visitor towels and bedlinen
- watered greenhouse
- went to uni and did my first assessment for a while. I've got one booked for tomorrow earlier than usual so I'll have to get up and allow plenty of time for all the road works which nearly caught me out today. Then I've got nothing booked as yet in July so tomorrow may be my 'retirement day'. Trying not to think about that either as it upsets me.
- the ongoing saga with the small uni pension that I've been trying to sort for over a year reached new depths yesterday when some paperwork arrived announcing my retirement date as 2019 and as that was 'early retirement' the pension would be reduced accordingly. To say I was unimpressed would be an understatement. HR are querying it - if they wanted 2019 to be my last bit of work, they should have given me the pension then and not waited 5 yrs (and presumably earned interest on it).
- posted my postal vote, ditto DBs birthday card.
- did some drum practice.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -

Hi all
We are home after a lovely few days away in sunny Lincolnshire. It was fabulous and the weather was amazing.
Narco you have every right to be emotional, you have a lot going on x
I have pulled out of the charity bike ride I was supposed to be doing this weekend, I am still having issues after the UTI and cannot cycle. I am also doing a lot of thinking about what sort of help I want for my anxiety. The doctor has been brilliant. For once I am looking after myself.

Morning all xx
Ooo YL did you pass through North Lincolnshire on your way down to Lincolnshire? Humber Bridge way? I'd have waved if I'd known 😊
Hugs to Narc0 xx and anyone else feeling the pressure of life events xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, completed Wordle and Connections (easy today), eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew.
I got up at 10 to 6. Couldn't lie there any more. I know now why I wake up so regularly at 5.10am. The milkman comes to someone on this row and he has his radio on loud. Talking, not music. With my windows open it was very loud! Mystery solved. Sorry NN - it wasn't you after all. Sheepish grin 😁
Huge meltdown at work yesterday lunch. Twot. Colleagues insisting on interrupting me to try to chat when I'm really busy, unhelpful therapists, upset/ irate patients, leftover angst from the day before still biting. I'm good at my job but even I can't magic up a bed if there's none in stock. No matter how urgent it is. I'm Band 2 Admin on Minimum Wage trying to run two Services, on my own. Usually I cope. Yesterday I broke...one complex issue too many. And the Band 7 that I turned to for help , didn't. Again. So I've fired off an email expressing my dissatisfaction with her attitude. And I've told my supervisors ( I've got 2 now!!!) that I'm fed up sorting out the mess created by other people who we all know aren't up to the job. And I've pointed out that repeating the same training over and over again obviously isn't working and they need to move to the next step. Whatever that is. 🙄
Hmmm. Now I've written that down I can see why I melted. At the time I was taken by surprise. Did you know if you breathe in without breathing out you puff up and your chest gets really tight. 🤔
Anyhoo. Today is a new day. And guess what? I don't want to go 😫. But I will. Pay Day tomorrow. The general waste bin and box for cans are at the gate waiting to be emptied. I'll feed the birds and water my hanging basket before I set off.
Oo look, it's nearly getting up time 🤣🤣
Have a good day.

Oh Round yes, we went over the Humber, I would have waved! I don't know why but I thought you were further South. Sorry work is rubbish x
No paid stuff until Monday so I have used today to get caught up with some jobs including sorting a pile of paperwork. All laundry up to date. I have also been for a facial and we have stocked up at Li@l.
Its cold and windy here, this weather is weird.6 -
Evening all. We're home, tired out by lots of walking and even more talking, but having had a very good short break.
We didn't get round to hoovering before going away, so tomorrow I need to fly through the whole house. Rosie won't be coming home until tomorrow afternoon, and I shall not have to walk her, so that will make things easier.
I am now going to fall into bed and sleeeeeep! xxx6
