I got paid today !! Thank goodness l only had 0.46p in my bank account 🤣.
Kids account took a massive hit in June I've spent nearly £300 😲 on them, which is ALOT with the summer holidays looming. However this did include coats for winter, brand new school shirts, a complete new wardrobe for young CK who had grown out of everything - all brought on Vinted. I also brought brand new trainers from JD for both children while they were half price in the sale, and both were delighted with my choices…win, win. Finally, l paid for a ticket to the theatre for young CK the show isn't till next year but will be a nice surprise.
Thankfully in the last week or so I've made £106.10 on Vinted (another £6 sale today) which is going to top up the kids account a bit.
Mr CK's DIY to fix his equipment worked 😃 so total spent was £100 instead of several £100's.His insurance is due shortly and at the moment it looks like we can save +£200 on our renewal quote 🎉. Shame he has to make his tax payment on account next month.
I've also booked Mr Ck me, and the kids a weekend away next week, l booked it a little while ago, but when l checked the price on Thursday it had been reduced by £100, so l rebooked and cancelled the original. I have points to use up so it only cost £100 for two nights for accommodation including, access to a pool, and sports courts. I did enquire about the onsite restaurant but one meal would cost +£150 so we are self catering !!
I still want to make it special so will probably splash out on treat ingredients like steaks, salmon, wine and snacks. I think l will set us a cash budget from the money l still have in my jar from previous Vinted sales to keep things on track.

Afternoon everyone,
Today has been a good day !! l awoke to news l had sold another two items on Vinted for £35.20. This means l have surpassed my £365 target for the year with 6 months to go 😁. I know l could do more, switch bank accounts, move my Isa account for higher interest but I'm happy with the steady progress and space it creates.
In other news, the tenants have accepted our 1 month proposal, shortly followed by news the nuisance tenant has given notice 🎊🎊 the agents are going to ask our tenants if they wish to stay.
I think its unlikely but I'm glad that the new tenants wont have to contend with the problem and will hopefully mean they stay longer.
I'm off to list some more on Vinted

Fab news @carboot_karaoke! Are the noisy ones off to a noisy place perhaps? Will they be surrounded by birds, including puffins?! Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx

Evening everyone,
I have another £5 vinted sale to report. Also, Mr Ck opened his own vinted account using a referral link from me and sold an item so we both get £15 voucher to spend. A savvy move by him l have to say.
The tenants are still moving out at the end of the month so the property was put on the internet yesterday. We have 5 viewings planned for next week, so we will see how those go.
I paid the balance on our camping holiday leaving £450 in the pot for spending etc.
I have also realised that my car MOT, service and insurance are all due this month or next. I do have a few £100 saved towards the cost but l had been dipping into this fund to cover the shortfall in wages due to the wrong tax code. My tax code wont change until l submit my tax return, definitely a July job. All of this uncertainty has made me hesitate to OP.
So l have decided to make an interim payment and see how the month goes another £820 knocked off. New balance is £6000. 😄
