The Saga 4.5% account didn't require a Selfie. Or any form of photo ID.

It did for some people.

I do not have a device to take a selfie.
I am not "fighting legislation". I cannot comply with their requirements so am not wasting time on an application.
Not too fussed as have cahoot slightly higher, so I'm not self-harming either, it would have just hedged bets in case of rate changes.

Fair enough.
I haven't applied for the First Active account yet, so don't know the procedure. I did think it sounded very much like the Saga offering, but not surprised as both powered by Nat West. I am pretty sure that I had to provide a side to side video for Saga, but have applied for a couple of new accounts recently so may be getting mixed up.
Not looking forward to further checks one bit for accounts that I've held for a while, what a palaver, but of course, I will comply if and when asked.0 -
It did for me! And it had to be using a smartphone. But only after they first farmed all my personal info.
Now I keep getting reminded I have not completed the application. 😡
