Well I was paying from Coventry and had no issues with the account being recognised. I can't remember if I copied and pasted or typed the numbers out. I did once have a issue where I copied and pasted and for some reason there was a space at the start of the number so the last digit got left out. I had to edit out the space at the front and add the last digit at the end.deadkenny said:
Applied last Tuesday, it was opened this Monday. Got the email about funding the following day and got PIN to log into the account yesterday. Tried to pay from Nationwide but it doesn't recognise the account details. I could send it anyway but I'm reluctant as there's no guarantee if it goes into some black hole when it doesn't recognise the account. Tried again today and same.DRS1 said:
I got an email confirming the account was open the day after I applied. Not news but I did want to add that the email said I could not fund the account until the following day.Born2Save_3 said:West Brom BS Triple Access Saver (Issue 1)After applying for this account how many days have you waited before hearing anything and/or the account being opened ?I applied early yesterday and to be fair to WBBS they stated at the start of the process that it may take 3 to 5 working days due to the number of applications.
No mobile app with West Brom either?0 -
I was manually typing it on the phone in NW app. I've just tried on the web and tried manual typing or copy & paste and it showed the same error.CuparLad said:
Are you copy/pasting the account number into the NWBS Payee field? FWIW, I was doing this and I had the same issue with the COP failing, yet when I typed in the account number manually, it worked immediately. Could be some formatting or special characters that are screwing things up.deadkenny said:Tried to pay from Nationwide but it doesn't recognise the account details. I tried again and this time it worked 🤷♂️
All good now I hope. No sign of it in WB though yet. Their online banking seems a bit basic and they seem slow at doing things.
Update: All gone through now, and it's updated the rate to show 4.55% gross (was saying 0)1 -
Just noticed a surprising new entry on MFC. AA Easy access. 4.2% for anyone, 4.3% for members. Both include a 1.2 boost for a year. Monthly only. Really Natwest.2

I couldn't make my mind up whether to give this the 4.30% position in rankings...Zaul22 said:Just noticed a surprising new entry on MFC. AA Easy access. 4.2% for anyone, 4.3% for members. Both include a 1.2 boost for a year. Monthly only. Really Natwest.
... so I've ranked it as 4.30% & included the 4.20% link for non members where both will be seen.
AA EA Members Saver 4.30% All Otherwise 4.20% Incl. 1st year bonus (19/11).3 -
And so it begins....United Trust Bank Easy Access Saver (NLA) decreasing their rate from 4.3% to 4.05% on 4th December 2025.Source: eMail4

True EA entries are easy access savings accounts that can be opened, and the headline interest rate can be earned, with a minimum balance of no more than £10. These accounts allow unlimited withdrawals. The table includes accounts that have time-limited bonus rates and accounts restricted to new customers only. The table excludes fee-charging accounts, accounts limited to smaller balances, and accounts only available via savings marketplaces. Instant True EA entries are those True EA entries which advertise immediate deposit and withdrawals 24/7. Highlighted entries show changes since last time: blue for new entries, green for rate rises, and red for rate reductions in the respective table. Two debuts this time around. AA's offering is "powered by" NatWest and is covered by the same FSCS licence. They have a slightly higher rate (4.30%) for AA members. LHV is an Estonian bank and its entry here is for a current account tracking BR until the end of 2026.I no longer check the forums as regularly as I used to. If you wish to catch my attention please remember to tag me (@ircE) so I get a notification.10 -
One thing to watch out for in the AA Easy Access account is this little snippet hidden away in the "Managing Your Account" section...
"If you choose to close your account, you won’t earn any interest for the month of closure."

did this get sorted without having to provide ID? its a known issue but i can't think iv'e seen it resolved without sending in paper forms and ID.Newly_retired said:I am struggling with Cahoot. I have a Sunny Day saver but so far I have been unsuccessful in opening a Simple Saver. An agent I spoke to yesterday has promised to sort it out, so I am hoping it will be open by Monday.
It seems I had two identities with them. I have now got them to close all the accounts with one identity, and that has happened, but my latest application has still gone to my now closed identity. The agent admitted it was their fault, so maybe I’ll get some compensation for my wasted time and efforts?
i have various accounts with Santander and don’t have any problems with them.0 -
Don't know if anyone else if having any problems with Spring Savings. Withdrawals are not available on a instant saver account because of a technical issue with the app. Their communications on this have been nothing more than shocking.1

Yes, it did, without providing ID. No compensation offered though.pfpf said:
