West Brom BSBorn2Save_3 said:West Brom BS Triple Access Saver (Issue 1)After applying for this account how many days have you waited before hearing anything and/or the account being opened ?I applied early yesterday and to be fair to WBBS they stated at the start of the process that it may take 3 to 5 working days due to the number of applications.
Four Access in July
Applied 14:59 20th July (Sunday), open 16:39 21st July
Triple Access in November
Applied 15:00 Tuesday, open 11:33 todayBut you got one !When an account is good, I go for it no matter what the time, if I can; that's why I applied at 3:30am, when I got the feeling it might not be there for long. And it was opened yesterday after the NLA announcement came out, adding extra excitement.Question now is how will the rate stand over the next few months ? Currently, I still have a Cahoot Simple Saver paying 4.55%A. With Ulster and West Brom as backups. But how is the rate shake down going to pan out.The West Brom Triple Access Saver Iss 1 (4.55%) expires after 1 year.I already had an existing Four Access Saver Iss 2 (4.4%). That has no expiry date.Hence I decided to leave some cash in the Four Access Saver rather than transfer the entire balance and close the account. That way I have the option to move the cash back after 1 year (or earlier if the Triple Access rate drops below the Four Access rate).0 -

I submitted a request to both before 0815 this morning. Skipton arrived at 0950, Coventry at 1150.pafpcg said:1spiral said:How quick are withdrawals from Coventry B/S now that they are same day and Skipton B/S?I need to withdraw some funds tomorrow and need them for before 1230 and am unsure how quick either are.I keep a log of despatch times and arrival times of inter-bank transactions ever since Faster Payments was introduced. Sadly, Santander no longer give me an alert of the time when a credit is received, so since earlier this year, arrival times are now "arrived before".- Skipton should send funds and be credited in a clearing bank by 09:30 as @SonOfPearl states above - my last two transfers (last year) arrived at 09:27.- Coventry is more variable: arrival times for transfers requested in advance this year: Jan - 11:51; Mar - 14:20; Apr - 14:20; Apr - 14:17; May - 11:47

Yes and issue 4 (4.28%) expires on the same day as the Triple Access Saver (31/01/27). What we really need is a Four Access Saver issue 5.happybagger said:

FSCS limit to be increased to £120k at start of December:
https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/news/2025/november/pra-confirms-fscs-deposit-limit-to-be-increased-to-120000-from-1-december
This was expected but most people had been expecting £110k. This was announced in the last 24hrs.Some good news for savers as your money is now a bit safer.21 -
As I said in the separate thread on the subject, hopefully this will drive some small interest rate rises as savings institutions compete for the extra £35k.10

Hopefully not in the form of these 3 months bonus rates more and more banks are doing now.1

Applied last Tuesday, it was opened this Monday. Got the email about funding the following day and got PIN to log into the account yesterday. Tried to pay from Nationwide but it doesn't recognise the account details. I could send it anyway but I'm reluctant as there's no guarantee if it goes into some black hole when it doesn't recognise the account. Tried again today and same.DRS1 said:

No mobile app with West Brom either?

Are you copy/pasting the account number into the NWBS Payee field? FWIW, I was doing this and I had the same issue with the COP failing, yet when I typed in the account number manually, it worked immediately. Could be some formatting or special characters that are screwing things up.deadkenny said:Tried to pay from Nationwide but it doesn't recognise the account details.
