It looks like that's just relative to various versions though.  I've just logged on an mine's (no issue number against it so I guess it must be version 1) still showing 4.71% and the updated rates show the changes were effective from yesterday (so presumably mine would show 4.52% if it had been reduced).

i'm in a similar boat - I have what must be "Issue 1" (though none of their docs mentions issues AFAIK).. originally, it was 4.86%, then on 2nd December I got 14 days notice that it was dropping to 4.71% - it is still at that rate currently and assume it will remain so until I receive notification from Chetwood of a rate reduction.
update - just received an email from them...
We’re getting in touch to let you know that we’ve taken the difficult decision to reduce the interest rate payable on your Easy Access savings account.
From 27 February 2025, your new rate of interest will be 4.52% AER* variable.
Your current rate of interest is 4.71% AER* variable.
so I assume we'll all be in the same boat, receiving the same rate, after the 27th !

14 days notice for current holders - new applicants get 4.52% as at now  .
  • I just tried to open an easy access with Charter Savings Bank (as a new customer) but after selecting "apply now" was told the account was no longer available (issue 56). It's still up on the website though

I tried to open it yesterday as existing customer and couldn't and was infromed they were accepting no new applications. I have opened it today as existing customer. Don't know if will accept new customers.

I only opened this 2 days ago at 4.66% - I must have the anti-midas touch with banks lately 😞
On the bright side, it beats the Chase 3% where it's been moved from.

Today I could open as a new customer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
